All that makeup ends somewhere else apart from your face: your brushes, of course. With all those colourful powders, you’ll also have some dirt and bacteria but you won’t see these.
To clean your brushes from the visible and invisible dirt, you can use olive oil, one of the most useful Mother Nature’s products, and you won’t step back again.
To follow the video tutorial, you’ll need:
- (extra virgin) olive oil,
- (many) paper towels,
- a delicate shampoo,
- a towel and… running lukewarm water.
Why use (extra virgin) olive oil? Olive oil is a natural moisturiser and will make your bristles incredibly soft while dissolving old makeup. It’s a democratic goodness, it’s in every supermarket. Olive oil makes the difference between brushes cleaned with water and shampoo and tools treated with this double-step cleansing system. Both synthetic and natural bristles will result fluffier and softer, as well as with a nicer smell.
Pour some olive oil in a small cosmetic bottle and store it in the bathroom, so that no one will use your oil for dressing!
