Trends: Lace

We’ve seen it a lot around last autumn/winter season and it’s still here, in summer, in combination with fresh and happy colours. I’m talking about lace!Probably it’s the most feminine fabric and design and it can pair both a sweet and a sexier look. Do you think it’s just a nice fabric to wear?
I’ve selected some eye candy products around the net and, as usual, you can have a peak in my (and my sister’s) closet to discover our personal choices at the end of the post.My selections is quite wallet friendly and come both from famous shops and independent creators. Discover them together!

Starting from clothes, there are some ways to wear lace.
We can opt for a full lace dress with a matching or contrasting lining in order to have fun with colours, cover some parts of the body and play with see-through effect or…

we can keep ourselves fresh from the summer hot weather and wear a linen dress with a little “lace” accent here and there.

Here comes the fun part of the post: lace is everywhere, let’s find it out! This is my list of lace themed accessories that I like the most:
as a scarf lover, I fell in love with this one from Promod with lace details and golden paillettes.

Promod products are usually good quality. I have a few and I’m satisfied.

Pale khaki foulard with lace and golden paillettes – Promod 25,95 euro

Bags? A classic example: black with golden chain.

Pochette with lace inserts – Mango 29,99 euro

A little purse of any eventuality. Bright and happy.

Headbands, earrings, bracelets… you can find everything with lace or a stamped lace designs!

Probably this is enough but if you want you can find plenty of lace goodies on the net: phone covers, washi tapes, masks (I won’t ask you why you may want one, don’t worry!).

Yamamay has launches its own beauty line and the packagings are all decorated with lace stamps. It sounds a nice choice for a lingerie brand.
I’ve recently visited one of its shop in Naples and, thanks to the advice of Laura, I’ve tested the baked eyeshadows the and the amazing trio (the desert trio has a super pigmented gold eyeshadow) but I was tempted by the nail polishes… 3×2 offers are dangerous!
Baked eyeshadow – Yamamay 5,90 euro

Are you dare enough to wear an eyeshadow tattoo? This one is directly from Etsy!

Finally, these are our picks. They are quite old and discontinued but fashion doesn’t surprise me anymore, as animal prints, lace reappears on the scene again!
The first one is a Promod top, it’s velvety with a lace panel on the back… to bad it’s a winter top and you can’t see the lace if you wear something on it.

This is the “Fleuri” set a false leather organizer and mobile holder with a gorgeous floral stamp.

And these? These come from a very old Avon limited edition collection called “Luxe Lace” (end of 2010).
Despite this collection was a special edition, you can still find the regular products: the lipstick is the Ultra Colour Rich in Pout, a delicate pink with satin finish (not too shimmer, not too lucid) and the eyeliner is the SuperShock gel eyeliner pen in black. This eyeliner is available in other tones, the black is a pitch black that glides easily on the skin, dries quickly, leaves an intense line in one stroke and it’s smudgeproof.
You can find it through your Avon rep and/or visiting your local Avon site.

Do you like lace?
We’ve learned that some trends turn back, so it’s a smart idea to buy now and keep something for the future, we’ll never know when it’s time again for our precious lace!
