Fun products for Halloween… 2013

Halloween is coming and, as usual, I couldn’t leave you without the traditional parade of themed bath and beauty products.
Nothing macabre, I swear, because my radar has found the most versatile and colourful items on the market that you can
safely use throughout the year!

The combination of gold and black is timeless, Bourjois knows it very well and has introduced its Halloween collection called “Gold is Back”.
Five nail polishes (9.99 euros each) compose the collection and each one can be used alone or in combination:
– 29 Monster Blood: a black base enriched with a golden pearliness,
– 30 Ghost Lovers: a dark top coat with golden pearl effect,
– 31 Dangerous Wish: a black nail polish with gold and holographic glitters,
– 32 Vampire Vanity: a transparent top coat with gold leaves,
– 33 Enchanting Potion: a transparent top coat with gold glitters.

China Glaze replies with “Monsters Ball”:

Howl You Doin’: a purple nail polish with purple and orange fine glitters,

Bat My Eyes: a metallic toned nail polish with golden and some orange glitters,

Boo Gie-Down: a glitter top coat with hexagonal, round and bar glitters in white, black, gold and copper,

Fang-Tastic: a top coat loaded with blue, red, green and purple glitters,

Bump In The Night: a textured black nail polish,
Ghoulish Glow: a glow in the dark nail polish.
You can already find the single nail polishes from this collection at Cambree.de for 6.49 euros each.

Illamasqua, famous for its super pigmented products and open-minded philosophy, has taken the chance with these two sets:

– the “Bat Lash duo” consisting of a pair of bat wing-shaped false eyelashes and the nail polish in Swarm (speckled effect with black glitters),
– the “UV set” with four UV nail polishes (Geist, Ouija, Omen and Séance).

Both sets costs 25£ but on Illamasqua site you can find the single items and also some face charts, useful as a Halloween inspiration.

Can’t you devote yourself to a full manicure? Adhesive nail polishes are the answer!
A lot of companies have their own and this is just an example…

Halloween at Lush doesn’t scare at all!
Every year Lush offers some limited edition products and 2013 is the year of the terrible “Creatures of the Baaath” called Pumpik and Lord of the Misrule.Pumpkin is a bubble bar and smells like the Figs and Leaves soap (ylang ylang and orange flower) (2,75£ or 5,95$), while Lord of Misrule is a bath bomb scented with fair trade vanilla absolute, black pepper oil and patchouli (3,30£ or 5,95$).
If you visit your local Lush site or Lush shop, you could find other special bath products like Sooth Ball, a bath bomb with shea butter and the sweet and spicy scent of caramel and sandalwood (2,50$).

Halloween fans or not, it doesn’t matter.
There’s always time to show off a cool UV manicure or jump into a tub full of mystical coloured foam.
