Mini Guide: 5 Makeup Palettes for Everyone This Christmas

A last-minute gift for your bestie? What better place than a perfumery shop where one can find almost everything a girl would desire?

Today’s mini guide is all about makeup, with my selection of 5 makeup palettes you can find in one easy place: Sephora.

Starting clockwise, from the top right: the Christmas 2015 limited edition palette by Sephora called Wonder Dreams. It’s a real wonder or a dream thanks to its original packaging, with a sliding opening, and a cheerful decoration. It contains 8 matte and iridescent eye shadows which look bright and soft. All these qualities make this palette the perfect kit for the younger ones.
Style Eye-Con No. 7 by Marc Jacobs encloses all the elegance of the designer in a black, sleek and thin pack. It contains 7 shades in rich finishes, matte and pearl iridescent; it’s proposed in 5 style variants named after the “character” of the person who, hypothetically, will use it. The Vamp palette, with its deep purple, black and medium green shades, has some intriguing tones.

Sleek Au Natural iDivine is the essential declined in 12 eyeshadows, 8 matte and 4 pearly tones, these shades are… just natural, for a perfectly balanced daytime look or sultry smokey eye.
Urban Decay Electric Palette, an apt name for a palette with 10 highly pigmented and super shocking eyeshadows! It comes with a mirror and a double-ended cruelty-free brush. I immediately thought of the Sleek iDivine Acid for its colours.
Finally, at the centre, there’s a temptation: the Chocolate Bar palette by Too Faced with real cocoa powder. This chocolate bar-shaped compact has 16 shades, both matte and metallic, enriched with antioxidants. The peculiar note is that they really smell of cocoa!
In Too Faced’s makeup range, there’s also a Semi-Sweet palette, but from what I can see by comparisons on the net, the classic version seems to have much more vibrant metallic eyeshadows.
For young girls, for those who love hassle-free looks and those who love to venture with colours and magnetic glances, the ideal palette is ready to be wrapped and decorated with a bow and… presented.
You can find these beauty boxes at your local Sephora shop.
