#Plumpupthevolume with dr.Brandt to support depression awarness

Depression isn’t a modern disease, but it’s still here and spreads incredibly easily.
This is why January has been chosen as the awareness month, a month dedicated to the prevention and the right knowledge of this disorder; it’s time to get in action with #plumpupthevolume, the cyber campaign launched and promoted by the dr.Brandt Foundation, in support of the ASFP, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

What are they and what do they exactly?
The dr.Brandt Foundation is a no-profit organization, founded in partnership with The Miami Foundation and in memory of its founder, doctor Frederic Brandt, with the mission of supporting scientific research and programs improving mental health and prevent suicides, as well as spreading awareness and global attention.
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is an US organization founded in 1987 and it’s active at 360° in fighting depression and suicides caused by it: it raises funds and supports scientific programs; it promotes consciousness about this disorder; offers support and hope to who is struggling, are at risk or lost a relative or friend; it educates on prevention and creates educational plans for professionals and promotes legislations about it.

What can we do?
We can pread the word, stand beside those who suffer in silence and take action locally and globally.
It’s time to join the #PlumpUpTheVolume campaign, but how?
The #Plumupthevolume campaign aims to promote a dialogue on humour disorders and, thanks to the collaboration between the dr.Brandt Foundation and the AFSP, it supports scientific training and studies, as well as educates and helps those are affected and their families. If you have a Facebook or Instagram account, you’re almost ready because you can help with a selfie …
Follow dr.Brandt Instagram account (@drbrandt), snap a selfie with a #plumpupthevolume sign (paper sheet, post-it…), tag the brand and use the appropriate hashtags #plumpupthevolume and #stopsuicide… then send the picture through the net!
For each selfie, dr.Brandt will donate $1 to its Foundation and its activities.
A minute, please! Stop all your business and take a picture. Tag your friends and challenge them to join the campaign, tag your friends and “challenge them”.
The more people join, the more the news runs and raises awareness.

Depression is a silent enemy, a photo can turn up the volume of your voices! Can you believe it? I do!
