Style is a seductive game played with colour and fabric combinations and small details, this is the lesson from any big event, but especially from the Academy Awards aka Oscar.
This isn’t going to be a full examination, it’s all about was is worth a consideration… Indeed, cinema events represent a great source of inspiration for daily life and night time looks.
Find your favourite detail, build your own style or copy the look and play like a diva.
One has seen a lot of nude make-up looks on the red carpet as the winter trend dictates: flesh tones and browns paired with nude lip colours (Jessica Alba), pearly pink (Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Winslet) and some show-stopping shades.
I’m referring to the bright and elegant Olivia Munn with bright orange lips matching her minimal dress: her colour came out by mixing two lipsticks both by Chanel, Chanel Rouge Allure in Excentrique and Pimpante, how adorable is this last name, uh?
While Rooney Mara was updated to the “matte” and dark style: she was wearing Chanel Aqua Crayon Lip Colour lip pencil in Cinnamon followed by the Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet in La Sensuelle.
Taupes and greys were welcome as eyeshadows too, while highlighting was that touch everyone was sporting…
When it comes to red carpet, one immediately thinks about rich gowns but here the details can be surprising.
At the left, the Oscar winner Brie Larson with her custom-made Gucci by Alessandro Michele, a dress started back in December, was a masterpiece with an added art work as its focal point: a floral jewel-belt with encrusted with crystals, black crystals, embroideries and pearls.
At the right, Priyanka Chopra in her fabulous white embroidered gown by Zuhair Murad couture with a very particular belt, a rigid silver stripe with a bolt.
A mechanic touch that both breaks and makes her bon ton look absolutely original.

Nails: the most worn nail polishes at the 88 Academy Awards were nudes and metallics, for this reason these two actresses poped out in my mind.
The first, you’re right… She’s Jennifer Lawrence matching her tulle, nude and black gown with a total black manicure. God job!
At the bottom, Emma Watson wearing a ox-blood nail polish with glossy finish and loads of rings for extra shine.
Hair should be always perfectly styled, but these two examples deserve some compliments, why?
At the left, Brie Larson -again- with an extremely simple hairdo with a back loop passing through a jewel-hair barrette. The trick of adding a piece of jewelry works well, so that hair needs nothing else, except for hairspray.
At the right, Olivia Wilde with a romantic and elegant updo that started with a side braid, continued with a braid that became a braided chignon.
The style game has been fun, what we can learn and steal from the Oscars 2016 red carpet?
Flawless skin with minimal eye make-up; a generous amount of highlighter; neutral or a deep and matte lip colours, depending on the mood or occasion; small sparkly accessories to update an outfit from day to night; dark nail polishes; at the end half, a hairdo or a braided updo for a more grown-up look.
Sometimes even the smallest detail can bring to a big difference.
