Khadì Ayurvedic Vitalising Hair Oil – review

I stumbled upon Khadì vitalising hair oil, knowing nothing about the brand but having trust in ancient beauty treatments. I was just looking for a natural product to strengthen my hair from the roots. Is this oil as promising as the good reviews?

Khadì Vitalising Hair Oil.

Khadì is an Ayurvedic brand specialised in skin, hair and body treatments, and is well-known in the “green beauty” community, where its vitalising hair oil has gained popularity.

Khadì Ayurvedic Vitalising Hair Oil: product & packaging

Khadì vitilising hair oil is a rich mixture of oils and plant infusions used in traditional Indian medicine. It contains sesame, coconut, castor and carrot oils, rosemary and traditional Ayurvedic plant infusions (gunja, bala, bhringaraj). Some of these key ingredients should also relax and soothe both your senses and the scalp.

It aims at strengthening roots, promoting hair growth by stimulating blood circulation, and contrasting greying and visible signs of weakness, such as split ends and thinning.

The packagin, overall, gives a sense of luxury and oriental beauty. The 100ml bottle has a golden cup that covers the real applicator: a long dropper. This applicator is really handy because it avoids product waste, although using this hair oil is a “very slippery mission”.

Scent

Khadi vitalising hair oil has a rich aromatic and herbal scent, but finding a dominant note is nearly impossible.

How to use Khadì hair and scalp oil

After shaking the bottle, apply this treatment to wet or dry hair. I prefer to distribute it to dry hair, then I massage it onto the scalp with slow motions as a pre-shampoo treatment. I leave it for 30 to 45 minutes, then I wash my hair as usual. This treatment can also be left overnight for an intensive treatment (but I don’t).

Results

Why did I choose this oil in particular? I wasn’t trying to prevent thinning, but I wanted to moisturise and strengthen my hair and make it shine. From the first use, my hair becomes silky and easy to comb, and my natural colour is exalted.

Khadi vitalising hair oil reduces frizziness, my hair feels and looks smoother, maybe way too much. My naturally curly mane loses shape and flattens with ease.

There’s a very positive note. This oil is so rich that it takes very little product per application.

Khadì vitalising hair oil is available online at Khadì’s official website and on Amazon, as well as many bio, organic and cruelty-free beauty online retailers and distributors.

I would only recommend it to those who have straight hair, suffer from hair thinning or have very dry hair. Despite its good properties and overall quality, I stopped using it after a bit and gave up.
