Pupa Lasting Color Glossy Nail Polish in 223 Pale Pink, review and swatches

I paint my claws with Pupa Lasting Color Glossy Nail Polish in 223 PALE PINK when I’m looking for a great nude and “polished” nail polish (sorry for this pun).

Pupa Lasting Color 223 is a nail polish with shiny finish described as a “Pale Pink. This nail lacquer has a glossy and crème finish, as well as a creamy texture.

Pupa Lasting Color Glossy Nail Polish in 223 is a very peculiar shade of pink: not too pale nor too dark. By taking as a reference some online colour charts, Pupa Lasting Color Glossy Nail Polish in 223 is a baby pink.
In my opinion, it’s a natural skin-tone pink. A dusty pink with a tinge of grey and mauve, making it a neutral shade that doesn’t look flat or fake.
The colour payoff is great and it needs two super thin coats for maximum opacity. The application is flawless, drying time is fast enough and I’ve found this nail polish scratch-proof and really long-lasting for almost 7 days!

I think Pupa Lasting Color 223 is the perfect nude nail polish because this is a very natural and delicate shade. Plus it’s great in nail art as a base for faces and animals as you can see in my “archaeology-inspired manicure for example.

As all Pupa Lasting Colors, 223 is contained in a very tiny 5-ml bottle topped with a small silver cap and a very long, thin brush.
Hopefully, the applicator works well despite its length, thanks to its dense and straight bristles but the cap is really uncomfortable to be handled.
The product on its own is high in quality but the packaging isn’t fully functional.
The cap is slippery and too small and I also find the quantity to be miserable for the price…

Two notes for Pupa directly from a nail polish junkie and blogger:

the cap must be re-designed in order to make application easier. The silver surface makes snapping pictures a silly hard task as it reflects every single messy corner of any work or living space;
the numeric system isn’t efficient and has no personality. I would prefer names instead so that to remember and pick the desired shade.
Pupa Lasting Color Glossy Nail Polish is available in a good variety of shades with a few special effects and limited editions. They can be bought online and through official retailers at a variable price, regularly more than 5€.
I have a huge array of nail lacquer and I love wearing every single colour of the rainbow, even the craziest ones, both the brightest and the darkest.
Nudes and pale pinks aren’t my favourite shades, but I often wear Pupa Lasting Color Glossy Nail Polish 223 PALE PINK as a minimal colour for formal occasions.

Do I recommend it? Yes, but I would suggest a purchase just in case of offers and promotions because, in my opinion, this Pupa nail polish is small and extremely expensive, even though it’s excellent.
