Merry fluffy outfit in Birmingham, UK

This Mediterranean girl knows how to face the Arctic cold: with a fluffy outfit that’s all about warm, yet soft and stylish clothes.

So I’ve finally experienced a proper snowfall – here in Birmingham, back in December – and I still wish for some more.

(Edit: I DO NOT wish for more snow after freezing my bum on the floor, thanks)

Old Joe is the clock tower of the University of Birmingham, the highest ever built for a campus.
He/It has been the inspiration for Tolkien.

With my roomie Lily, I’ve enjoyed my first snow around the Edgbaston campus at the University of Birmingham, while being watched by the impressive clock tower ‘Old Joe‘. My ice-proof outfit, grey-ish as the weather, is hiding a sweet piece: a Select grey plushy sweater. The look is completed with a pair of Primark combat boots and a Topshop military coat, which proved to be an appropriate choice: long enough to protect from the chill, serious enough to create surprise with the top underneath.

First real snowfall calls for a first pho at PHO (place) at Grand Central, Birmingham
It was maybe a ‘hot’ tofu and mushroom pho…. where are the flames… where’s the heat, “Pho” dudes?

The fluffy outfit in detail:
Sweater: Select
Military coat: Topshop
Jeggins/legging: Pimkie
Scarf: Primark
Boots: Primark

(Edit: I’ve banned Primark from my closet after experiencing several breakages and wasting my biblical patience in the shop)

With Lily (she’s a fellow Iger with amazing pics around the EU!!!), I met a new friend: a snow chicken, now melted forever.

The snow chicken appeared in December on a lonely table in front of the Murray Learning Centre in Birmingham, UoB. Missing since then…

But Birmingham ended up being more rainy than snowy, so I urge a… parka! And you know well by now how much archaeologists love this kind of coat… waterproof, hooded (and furry), adjustable and with loads of pouches, winter parkas are definitely the choice for multitasking, busy people.
