D.Obsessed Premium Skin Oil is precious like my EVO oil… why this comparison? Probably your grandmas were used to finding beauty solutions in herbs and oils, mine did with oil (specifically with olive oil). My mom learnt from her example, in my turn, I learn from her. So when I found this organic body treatment, I had to give a go.
With this skin oil, D.Obsessed completes its skin and body collection with a solution for every skin type.
A product stripped to the very basic to protect from ‘pollution’ and nourish the thirstiest of the skin without clogging it for an ever supple and youthful sensation.
D.Obsessed Premium Skin Oil: product & packaging
D.Obsessed Premium Skin Oil is a multi-purpose hydrating body oil for body, face and nails. It comes in a 100-ml plastic bottle with two security closure – a cap and a stopper plug – because you never feel too safe with oils! Due to the nature of this product, the package includes a drop pump. This helps to dose the oil for an “almost” mess-free and waste-free face application. There’s also a thin pointy brush for cuticles and nails. The shape of this brush is more suitable for an eyeliner or a lash serum applicator, in my opinion.
Formula
This D.Obsessed body oil is simply made of 3 ingredients. As simple as that: no preservatives, artificial colourants or fragrances. These key ingredients are organic jojoba oil, organic rosehip seed oil and Vitamin E oil. These oils have hydrating, soothing, protective, healing, and antioxidant properties. They seem to back up and support each other’s action.
Jojoba oil has been a skin-savour for centuries, is renowned for its humectant property and its content in Vitamin E – clinical researches also confirmed its antioxidant and antimicrobial action, as well as its healing power in acne-prone skin. This oil is also no-comedogenic (read as no clogged pores) and hypoallergenic (read as fewer chances to get a reaction). Rosehip oil is rich in Vitamin A (retinol) and Vitamin C, which help skin cell regeneration. This oil also has fatty acids, phenols and antioxidant Vitamin E to fights inflammation, premature ageing and sun damage.
Vitamin E oil is another form of Vitamin E; a form which works better for topical application. It’s usually added to cream and other preparation, and it’s praised for its moisturising and antioxidant properties. However, there are still some doubts hovering over Vitamin E oil. Many studies on the efficiency of Vitamin E oil in acne and anti-ageing treatment are still ongoing. It’s said to hydrate, heal wounds, improve the appearance of scars, soothe itchiness and eczema. In particular, doctors don’t agree on scar improvements in unanimity. Still, we are more than safe to say that Vitamin E oil has some kind of moisturising action and, consequently, it soothes dry and flaky skin. 2 out of 3 ingredients are sure to be effective with studies confirming facts.
Texture & scent
D.Obsessed Premium Skin oil is… an oil, a runny oil with a dark flaxen hue. The scent is very natural and falls into the category of neutral-alike perfumes; it reminds of edible oil with a corny touch which feels somehow comforting. Once applied onto the skin, the texture is slightly oily as one would expect, but it dries nicely.
How to use
D.Obsessed Premium Skin Oil can be used in three different ways with the dropper and brush included for these purposes:
- on the whole body as a moisturiser (and to lock in the moisture)
- for cuticles and nails to keep them hydrated and promote a healthy nail growth;
- on your face as a face oil or added to your regular moisturiser for extra hydration.
3-in-1 sounds super, let’s have a look further…
PROS:
- it’s gentle;
- completely natural;
- multi-purpose;
- lightweight;
- vegan-friendly;
- it has a long-lasting effect;
- dries fast (but enough for a nice massage);
- hydrates intensively;
- doesn’t clog the pores.
CON:
- the application is quite messy.
D.Obsessed Premium Skin Oil formula is ridiculously simple, yet very effective. How this oil protects from pollution is a mystery; I might explain it with a natural barrier created by the oils… I tried those three recommended applications, but I decided to stick to body oil and I’m happy with this choice. Honestly, the application is rather messy, so the bottle inevitably gets dirty and sticky. Not my skin, which looks naturally radiant; feels smoother, and stays hydrated for 10 hours. This result is quite impressive, but to achieve it, I apply this oil just after a shower with my skin still lovely warm and damp. The application is 100% easier and gives better results on wet skin!
If you prefer oils over creams and lotion, you’ll find D.Obsessed Premium Skin Oil on Amazon at £15.99 with two applicators included, which means you get a nail art/eyeliner brush for free!

This product looks so luxurious! I have always steered clear of oils (as i didn’t want to be oily) but I tried one recently and loved it! And they seem to keep the skin soft for longer than a cream. I like the idea of using it on your nails. 🙂 I will have to try this! Xx

Hi Dharma, and thanks for visiting.
I am glad to read you recently converted to body oil. Me too I find myself more and more familiar with this texture and I do like the natural glow they (and this in particular) give to the skin.
Please, let me know what you think about it if you try this oil! I am curious to know.
Thank you a million and stay safe
