How to get frizz-free bouncy curls. My easy wrap trick.

My support to you, curly goddesses, with my proved trick for naturally, bouncy curls! How to frizz-free? I know you’re struggling to dry and keep your hair in shape, especially when it’s humid and hot. It’s getting torrid, and frizziness is waiting for you.

How to frizz-free bouncy curls. Valentina's wrap trick.

I know you don’t want to blow hot air to your face either! Why your curly hair gets easily frizzy and unruly? How to dry your hair and have your mane soft and defined at the same time? One step at a time…

Frizz effect, you damn thing: causes
Frizziness is a curse, and there are several reasons behind this common issue. In short, dehydrated hair has a weak structure with its cuticle up. In these conditions, the hair absorbs more humidity from the environment and looks dry, messy and dull.

The frizzy effect can be due to:
1) biological factors, such as genetic conditions – when the structure is in that state for a natural reason – or an unbalanced diet;
2) excessive heat, unprotected use of hot styling tools, and chemical treatments (bleaching, dyeing and perms) can lead to physical damage to hair fibres.

But still, hair must be washed and kept dry. There’s an easy trick I discovered once when I fall accidentally asleep.

Use a microfibre hair wrap and leave it overnight. It sounds simple; however, follow these steps for best results:

  • After your favourite shampoo and conditioner*, squeeze your hair gently to remove excess water.
  • Wrap your damp hair in a cotton towel and flip it to the drier side when the fabric feels too heavy and wet.
  • Your hair should be slightly wet by now. Wrap it with your microfibre cloth.
  • Lay down and sleep nicely.
Frizz-free hair. My easy and natural wrap trick

As you wake up, you’ll find your hair soft, finally curly and with its natural pattern as you’ve been dreaming of it: lightweight and frizz-free.

*I used Nioxin 3-part System Kit Cleanser Shampoo (see the full hair experience here) and Matix Total Result Colour Obsessed conditioner.

So I did, I forgot my hair all wrapped up, and I woke up like this. Kinda magical…

How to get frizz-free curls without heat.

Why this ‘magic’ happens? Microfibre is a fabric not-fabric made of polyamide and polyester fibres without other chemicals. These synthetic fibres are tightly intertwined in a microscopic structure; hence the name. This production makes the final product super light and sterile (easy to be sterilised too), highly absorbent, filtering and fast-drying. These hair wraps save loads of space in your luggage. The microfibre hair wrap will absorb the remaining water and humidity from your hair. It will allow a controlled flow of air, which will gradually dry your hair without causing frizziness. In the meantime, the hair wrap will dry too!

Microfibre hair wraps and cloths, a light solution
This microfibre hair wrap has been with me since my trip to the UK! It’s made in Italy by Elmaris

The combination of hair products made my hair like this: Nioxin shampoo left my mane voluminous and healthy-looking, the Matrix conditioner made my colour more vibrant and my hair well-hydrated. But the slow drying process with the hair wrap did the trick.

Note: if you suffer from neck pain, headache and sinusitis, then it’s better to avoid having your hair wet for too long…

Sebastian Professional Dark Oil, styling and nourishing hair oil
Btw, nails are O.P.I. Tokyo Collection (Spring 2019) mini Infinite Shine I’m On A Sushi Roll
I do love sushi…

I need nothing else, but I pampered my hair anyway with a pump of Sebastian Professional Dark Oil for extra nutrition and light. It’s not dark, and it’s not a regular hair oil. It’s rather dense and melts with your body warmth… it smells of incense, sandalwood and magic Orient.

Wash, wrap, and sleep. Wake up to your full potential.
