God bless those rendez-vous made by chance like that fortunate time I bought a mega beauty bundle (LipMontly) and met MannaKadar Beauty and her* LipLocked Priming Gloss Stain in Rosette.
MannaKadar’s motto is “beauty simplified” but this doesn’t mean a drop in quality or the feel of a drugstore product. This primed glossy lip colour is an example…
*I used 'her' and not by mistake because Manna Kadar is a beautiful woman and not just the name of a brand.
MannaKadar Beauty LipLocked Priming Gloss Stain: product and packaging
MannaKadar Beauty LipLocked is a line of full impact lip colour. The LipLocked Priming Gloss Stains in Rosette isn’t a pink lip gloss, liquid lipstick nor a lip stain; it’s all together! MannaKadar Beauty LipLocked is a lip colour with built-in primer and comes in a 5-ml faceted tube with a soft precision cushion tip.
Formula and scent
MannaKadar Beauty LipLocked formula is made to provide long-lasting colour, a comfortable application, full coverage and shine. It’s like 3 products and primer in one! Apart from the typical ingredient of a gloss, this formula contains also corn starch, acacia gum, vitamin A and E. MannaKadar LipLocked doesn’t contain perfume; it has a neutral odour in it which is quite irrelevant to my nose.
Texture and shade
MannaKadar Beauty LipLocked in Rosette is a medium shade of pink which look dusty pink from the bottle. Once on my lips, it reveals itself as a bight blush or a French rose hue. I can see a pinch of grey and salmon pink; the last warming the colour a bit. This lip colour is creamy in texture and has a shiny finish which – hour after hour – becomes a satin and then a natural stain onto your lips
PROS:
- it glides comfortably;
- it’s long-lasting;
- cruelty-free;
- feels light;
- fades gradually;
- leaves lips soft and smooth;
- has a great colour payoff;
- a nice shine.
CON:
- Wait.
MannaKadar Beauty Lip Locked Priming Gloss Stain applies with a full-bodied colour and fades gradually into a natural stain. With just one coat, I get the intensity of a lipstick, but it’s creamier. It applies with a tip applicator, but it isn’t unpredictable like a liquid lipstick or a lip gloss. It’s glossy but not sticky or translucent.
The shine starts to fade after one hour from the application, but it’s still there! The colour as well is still vibrant after eating and drinking. After 5 hours and busy time for my mouth, the shine is gone but the colour, even if lighter, is present! My lips feel soft and hydrated during and after wearing the LipLocked. I would be wrong if I say my LipLocked applies like a creamy lip product because the sensation is instead ‘silky’.
MannaKadar beauty LipLocked works as a primer too, so it’s suggested to line the lip first with the tip applicator. It’s possible, the tip is tiny enough, and the rich texture allows extra precision. I couldn’t find a big con if not the time. Which time if it’s long-lasting, then? Application is easy, and I could do with closed eyes.
TIP: wait for a couple of minutes to let the colour set nicely onto your lips; otherwise, it could move away and smudge.
(Yes, I’m using your weights and I’m pumping with protein powders, I’m Valentino)
MannaKadar Beauty LipLocked Priming Gloss Stain costs 24$, which is more than a regular liquid lipstick, but it’s worth the investment. I have other MannaKadar cosmetics found in some BirchBoxes, and I am very happy with my gems. I truly believe this brand deserves more attention and praises.
