Name necklaces like you are. How I made it with Lora Jewel

Your name makes you unique, you can make your pieces of jewellery like you are! So I did with my custom name necklace created with Lora Jewel… I didn’t need special skills for that!

If you think of name necklaces, most of you will remember Carrie Bradshaw and her signature necklace. To be honest, I wasn’t, and I’m not a Sex and the City fan, I simply like the idea, but my real name is pretty long.

Lora Jewel, what’s that?

Lora Jewel is an e-jewellery store where you can customise many kinds of semi-precious jewel and bijoux. The shop has different sections to reflect the variety of products (i.e. rings, bracelets and some accessories like keychains) and recipients. In this way, you know exactly where to browse for your mom or partner’s gifts. The customisation is the most enjoyable feature of the shop. You can pick a model and make it personal with engravings, names and birthstones. Also important, you can add your touch to the essential look of your creation by selecting metal plating of your choice and length of your chain. With name necklaces, customisation is even easier! Lora Jewel Julia necklace: how-to and product
I’m wearing the Julia necklace I have customised to fit my taste. I picked my nickname, because my actual name is quite long. The Julia necklace is made of sterling silver 925 and features a cursive handwriting style; it is available in three metal finishes (white gold, 18K gold, and rose gold plated). The customisation is straightforward and done directly in the listing page. I made it personal with a trendy rose gold plating, and I make it longer with a 20-inch chain.

Unfiltered me. To get this false ‘vintage filter’, have a soft source of light behind you… SNAP!

The writing style seems elegant from the picture. The chain is well balanced in thickness, not too much at all! The metal finish is exquisitely polished, the rose gold hue true to itself and warm. The overall quality of the metal is surprising because it hasn’t lost shine nor got spotted. The custom name, however, looked a bit compressed; while – the more I look at it – the chain hooking seems ungracefully placed on the initial V. It’s still a lovely piece and really unique. In the end, I can’t find my name in stores, and this necklace is my (Lora’s) creation! For a name necklace, a 16” chain is a better fit; I chose a slight loner chain for personal comfort.

My experience with Lora Jewel and customisable name necklaces

If you want to try for yourself or a special one, the price would be – no matter your customisation – $19.99 (reg. $23.99) and your jewel will be prepared for you in minimum 3 working day and shipped worldwide. It arrives in a white faux leather case, a gorgeous presentation.
Nome omen, your destiny is in your name, you can also wear it with Lora Jewel.
