This luxurious package contains an equally luxurious treatment for a burst of daily hydration and radiance…

SkinChemists Advanced Caviar Day Moisturiser: product and packaging

SkinChemists Advanced Caviar Day Moisturiser is a hydrating face cream for all skin types and age which comes in this super fancy packaging. A shiny silver sphere you unscrew to reveal, in his bottom half, a cream protected with a lid. The content is 50 ml like your usual face cream pot.

Formula
Even the formula and ingredients are plushy: the list features sustainably-sourced caviar to protect your skin from UVA and UVB* rays and nourish it deeply. (*Unfortunately there’s no indication about the SPF level) Other keys are powder pearlto levigate, regenerate and even the skin tone – and “phytocelltec” alp rose to strengthen the skin barrier.

But its formula could be more extravagant; so here’s a combination of flower and plant derivates like neroli, tiaré flowers and rosa Damascena oil, seabuckthorn and bladderwrack (algae) extracts. Glycerin, coconut oil and shea butter give and boost the hydration; snail secretion and pumice contribute to smooth and repair skin damage for an even texture. This complex formulation has been developed to provide long-lasting hydration, protection, radiance and a matte finish, and to even both your skin tone and texture. All without parabens.

Texture and scent
Again, this SkinChemists daily cream is made to surprise and create a multisensorial experience. The texture isn’t that of a regular cream but a hybrid halfway between a cream and a gel. Its texture is rich and thick, it can result greasy on your hands, but this pearly white cream sinks well and faster onto your face and neck instead. The scent is rather peculiar as I can detect a zesty note accompanied by a sort of fresh ozonic swift. The first sniff isn’t so appealing to me, but once the scent evolves, the zesty character re-emerges. The perfume isn’t overwhelming though and is rather short-lived

Valentina Chirico's review of SkinChemists Advanced Caviar Day Moisturiser
SkinChemists’ filter on and just that (no makeup, no real filter)

SkinChemist Advanced Caviar Day Moisturiser is a rich cream that needs its time. Not the time to be absorbed – in fact, it dries very fast – but time to release all of its potentials. One may not like the scent, even though it’s energising, but the hydration and radiance repay. From the first application, the skin feels (re)freshed, soft and smooth and, in one week, it’s plumped like baby skin. It’s very hydrated but not at the same level of an anti-age treatment (like those with hyaluronic acid).

The formula has a powerful action aiming to different purposes and, indeed, it may be quite powerful with the first couple of applications temporary followed by a slight redness. It occurred just on my driest and sensitive areas but it wasn’t an adverse reaction. If the hydration is remarkable, the radiance developed is superb and hard to describe. SkinChemist says its Advanced Caviar Day Moisturiser mattifies and evens your skin tone but what it does is similar to a natural ‘filter‘. My skin isn’t matt but satin with natural light from within and a very healthy look. Apart from some located clogged pores, feeling my new satiny skin as I touch it and look at it was a pleasure.

Luxury package for SkinChemists Advanced Caviar Day Moisturiser

I introduced you to this face cream with a sense of luxury wrapped in a mystery. I unwrap the price: it’s £150. Hence, this cream steps into the high range category with other solution being more expensive.*
