Just some handmade flower earrings (?) ~

If I could wear flowers on my hair every day, I certainly would, but it’s not always spring. I had an important shooting for which I wanted something flowery and fresh; hopefully, I bought these handmade magnolia flower earrings and looked perfect for the occasion… magically, my good fairy friend Kamido was with me.

Martina aka Kamido is a sweetheart, as sweet as the candies she always put in her package!

If you’re new to this page, I may need to (re)introduce my friend Kamido. Her real name is Martina and lives in Rome; we were used to writing for the same e-magazine and became friends. She studied Japanese, hence her nickname. Her creativity, smile, and handmade jewellery gained a considerable following. I am a big fan myself!

These polyshrink earrings were love at first sight. I haven’t waited too long before ordering them at Kamido Etsy shop. I made myself a gift.

The polymeric material is super light and handpainted, making these lobe accessories ethereal like dainty petals… My magnolia earrings have the silhouette of these elegant flowers with a lovely blended magenta hue. I had to play with this sweet palette, so here are some looks…

Sweet&elegant: on that day, my hair was particularly wavy. It inspired me with an elegant outfit with a navy criss-cross top (Intimissimi). (Un)formally casual: on that day, I looked at myself in the mirror, and I spotted my boobs. In short, it wasn’t appropriate for the shot. I quickly grabbed a powder pink satin top (Forever21 – and I wish I was) and a denim jacket (M&S, for a variation of this ‘back to’ outfit with a denim shirt). I quickly wiped off my bright pout and replaced it with a muted tone with Neve Cosmetics Pastello Labbra in Immortal.

These earrings are so versatile, they look adorable with a soft sweater too, especially with rainbow treads. On this other day, my hair was a mess like my work-in-progress bathroom tiles. 1.6 cm… can you believe how small they are? It could be June, October or February; for me is again spring with these flower earrings but Kamido’s newest creations remind me of summer outside my balcony instead. It must be the painted grit pattern…
