Waist trainers, gym gears and tips for hourglass waistline

The lockdown contributed to this hype as much as Instagram influencers and videos do. We’ve been balancing indoor life with at-home gym sessions; we copied and posted others’ tips to succeed.

Waist trainers rose to global success and certainly don’t go unnoticed on IG… thank the Kardashian tribe for that! These modern corsets work by constricting your body – literally training, hence the name – into a desirable shape. Their single components target your abdomen: a metal structure defines your curves; thick fabrics and fastenings (i.e. velcro) compress your abs tightly and increase your body temperature. For a more intense sauna effect, sweat waist trainers are more appropriate. They’re more elastic and made of neoprene to make your body sweat more. Not all waist trainers are the same, find a waist trainer wholesale point for more variety.

Waist trainer and gym
Can you wear a waistband while exercising? Waist trainers will make you sweat, keep your stomach under control, and support your back for a better posture, but they aren’t suitable for long gym sessions. By experience, I would recommend wearing them while running or lifting weights for your spine. I prefer keeping my core free from tight clothes and working actively on those muscles.

Best exercises for your hourglass waistline
To get that hourglass shape, you need to work on your core muscles and particularly on your oblique abdominals. I’m currently trying and approve: side planks, side crunches/situps and bicycle crunches. You will feel all your midsection burn!

If you stick to the right routine and use your waist trainer, you can reach your goal and show your refined silhouette with a challenging outfit like a bodycon or a sheath dress. A long sleeve sweater dress in a dark shade or with a belt will work if you’re still unsure about your shape.
