Jolie Beauty newest Second Skin Powder Highlighters in Dreaming and Saintly – review, swatches and makeup looks

Base – all set – then bronzer and blush but something’s still missing! Try with some lights on! Jolie Beauty filled this gap with its newest launch, the Second Skin Powder Highlighters.

Lightweight compact highlighter by Jolie Beauty

Brummie-born Jolie Beauty has recently introduced a new add-on to its Second Skin Powder collection: Second Skin Highlighters.

Dreaming and Saintly are two of the brand new highlighters; they just arrived just in time for the holiday glitz…

Jolie Beauty Second Skin Powder Highlighters: product and package

Jolie Beauty Second Skin Powder Highlighter line is the third step for natural-looking and non-cakey makeup. Four in total, these new highlighters come in the same Second Skin Powder handy package you find reviewed on the blog (click here to read). It’s a rose gold compact case with 13 grams of product and an inside mirror.

Formula & texture
The Second Skin Powder Highlighters formula is cruelty-free and vegan-friendly and consists of pressed fine pigments, including kaolin for a delicate matte finish and pearlescent pigments. Compared to the Second Skin Powder bronzers and blushers, these highlighters feel similar but with obvious differences in the ingredient lists. Their light texture and buildable high-impact effect are clear to the touch and sight. These illuminating compact powders sit onto the skin without that glittery and gritty finish that would make any highlighter too artificial.

Shades
Dreaming and Saintly are the lightest shades of the collection and best match light to medium skin tones. Dreaming is described as a light champagne colour; however, in my opinion, it’s close to a creamy peach. Saintly is a cold white gold. Both shades have a delicate metallic finish which irradiates radiance already at the first swift.

EXTRA TIPS:
Make the most of its high-impact shine by using a fan brush and dusting your cheekbones with delicate motions. You’ll avoid overdoing it. Mix Dreaming and Saintly for a medium-warmth shade (see swatch section below).

The feature I appreciate the most in these new highlighters is their natural radiance. They blend and sit very well on both face and decolleté; they are so light that work wonders on the cupid’s bow too! These compact highlighters create a dew look lasting more than 8 hours without looking too artificial because reality is far from Instagram! Jolie Beauty newest Second Skin Powder Highlighter comes in 4 shades available online at £13.99 (regular price is £16.99). The price range is low to middle but still affordable on offer.

While putting these highlighters into action, I’ve been ‘illuminated’ by the idea of light, reflections and liquid looks…
The first look is an attempt at glossy lids made with a clear brow gel, which dries too fast, unfortunately. While the second wet look is created with Dr. PawPaw’s multiuse balm. The winning choice.

If you skipped highlighters because too fake, think twice: sometimes it’s the product itself, sometimes the way or amount you use. Jolie Beauty Second Skin Powder Highlighters made this makeup step effortless with pearlescent powders that look lively in just one touch.
