When it’s freezing cold outside, wouldn’t you like a snuggly scarf around your face? When your face feels ‘thirsty’, wouldn’t you like a quenching splash (and maybe a fancy cocktail for you)? Nahaia Active Organics Intensive C Nutrient Moisturiser feels like this to me…
Don’t look any further, this vegan cream ‘says’ Intensive. If you need a deep moisturiser and extra care,
you’ll be pleased to know that this Nahaia Active Organics face cream has also an anti-ageing kick!
Nahaia Active Organics Intensive C Nutrient Moisturiser: product and packaging
This indie brand from New Zealand knows how to make its products more precious. Nahaia Active Organics Intensive C face cream is stored in a magenta cardboard case; if you slide up to open it and you’ll reveal the bottle and its ‘secret name’. Nahaia means exactly ‘Journey of Eternal Love’ you can read in the inner box. Intensive C comes in a slim bottle with a pump dispenser with a total of 50g fo product. A bare strip on the back of the label shows how much product is left inside.
Like every piece in Nahaia Active Organics skin care lines, this moisturiser combines a specific treatment – in this case, hydration and nutrition – with anti-age properties. And as all products developed in-house by Dr Nahaia Russ, Intensive C is the meeting point of West and the Far East, with ‘exotic’ extracts from native New Zealand plants. Let’s discover this melting pot in this face cream…
Formula
At the core of Nahaia Active Organics ranges there are Grander Living Water – purified and re-activated water on a molecular level – and Micro Vita-Love, a patent-pending system of atoms passing onto the product and user (aka you) energy. Intensive C has such technologies in its cruelty-free and organic-based formula.
There aren’t chemicals, artificial colouring and synthetic scents, but a mix of oils, vitamins, peptides, plant extracts and colloidal gold. Gold is part of every and each Nahaia’s skin treatment, and sounds so luscious! Let’s break down the formula, in short.
The key ingredient, from which this cream takes its name, is Vitamin C to promote collagen production. The formula has 40% ingredients from organic cultivation and a New Zealand extract, Pohutukawa, that fiery red bush we have already seen in the 24ct Pep Me Up Gold cream.
Vitamin E, hyaluronic acid, shea butter, oils (argan, carrot, rosehip, evening primrose and olives), myrrh, marshmallow, calendula, and licorice extracts.
Texture & scent
Intensive C Nutrient Moisturiser is a dense cream with a deep yellow ochre colour; its texture can be worked and warmed until it looks whitish and thinner to spread. The scent lasts in your memory and on your skin with pleasantly exotic notes. It has a unique Oriental/aromatic scent with a sweet undernote and cypre myrrh.

Intensive C Nutrient Moisturiser is available online at Nahaia.com at a regular price of NZ $77, which is £40.60 or $55.60 at today exchange rates. * It’s shipped from New Zealand; hence delivery time can be longer depending on your location. To be honest, I have been receiving parcels from New Zealand for a while and, after three deliveries and with COVID being ongoing, shipping to the UK is becoming faster around 2 weeks. A list of official distributors and stockists is available online, so you can check who’s the closest to you.
*In the case your sole buying option is online; as a lovely reader of ValentinaChirico.com, there is a discount code for you: VALE2020 will give you 15% off your order.

A comfortable feel like a caress. This cream is my ultimate remedy when my skin feels tired and very dehydrated with visible dry patches also in my oiliest area, When this does occur, it’s generally very cold or windy outside.
Intensive C is, indeed, formulated for very dry skin and harsh winter; while the vitamin C aims to stimulate collagen production for smoother, brighter and younger skin.
Although its consistency is rich, Intensive C can be layered on the top of other creams for extra moist. This cream can be used both during the day and at night time because it has no sun filters. But for the same reason, I prefer using it at night. From my experience, even though it’s a very intensive treatment, it doesn’t clog the pores or make my T areas shinier than usual, which are both great results.
In the morning, my skin feels and looks smoother and supple, and in a couple of days, my skin tone is more even and brighter. Great results, once again. I see no downsides for women in their late 20s or their 30s; however, for a more plumping and distensive effect on contour and fine line, I would recommend Pep Me Up or build the two with Intensive C as the last touch.
Nahaia Active Organics Intensive C feels luxurious like cashmere, and personal as it can be doled out as you need depending on how thirsty your skin feels.
