Rovectin Clean LHA Blemish Ampoule – a Korean kawaii skincare review

‘Ampoule’ sounds like a magic potion for your skin and maybe it is. Something somehow alien to the Westerner skincare that recently moved from the East, from South Korea, like today’s Rovectin Clean LHA Blemish Ampoule.

Korean skincare review: Rovectin Clean LHA Blemish Ampoule

Rovectin Clean LHA Blemish Ampoule is my first ever ampoule. Wit it and thanks to it, I’m going to cross this new boundary and challenge my habit: do I need an extra step in my evolving skincare routine?

Rovectin Clean LHA Blemish Ampoule: product and packaging

Rovectin Clean LHA Blemish Ampoule is a thicker version of a serum with a higher concentration of key ingredients. This ampoule is designed for all skin types and targets imperfections, inflammation and acne, also hormonal acne. This is the size-up bottle with 50ml of product, an exclusive at Wishtrend. It comes in an emerald perplex bottle with a pipette. The label ‘clean’ doesn’t refer to the formula itself – does ever exist ‘clean skincare’? – but to the whole packaging concept. Rovectin Clean means low-impact skincare thanks to minimal packaging with soy-based ink and recycled paper for its box and

Texture & scent
Don’t let the bottle trick you: this ampoule is completely clear. It has a viscous gelly texture, which makes it feel fresh but extremely sticky. For this reason, it’s better to dab rather than massage or spread the product onto your skin. It doesn’t impress in drying time but, once dry, it disappears. The scent is lightly alcoholic.

Being ampoule’ an unknown territory for me, I was moving carefully. Everything I knew was ‘ampoules’ are concentrated treatment, hence very powerful, and haven’t to be used twice a day. The ampoule is a booster that targets specific issues.

Before (above) – After (below)

I started by applying this ampoule a couple of days each week, then every day. I wasn’t totally impressed at first, and the usage felt messy, sticky and uncomfortable. For sure, this is a product that requires time to get used to it and can’t be used on a rushed morning. My skin started to feel smoother, plumped and clarified. However, it was when I finally switched to a constant application twice a day, that I saw remarkable results. Pimples and redness on my left cheek, reduced to almost disappear. Those two or three omnipresent inflamed whiteheads/pimples on my left jawline – which always get inflamed when I try to remove them – are less red, as well as less swollen, and don’t tend to get infected.

Before and after the kawaii makeover. New nail shape, nail polish is Rimmel London 60 Seconds Super Shine Danny Boy, Blue!

To be honest, I’m quite satisfied with the results and the size, if the application was easier, I would recommend Rovectin Clean LHA Blemish Ampoule to everyone, including those with little patience for skincare timing.

Rovectin's kawaii stickers and eco-friendly packaging. Korean skincare.

The stickers, despite unnecessary, are an unexpected creative touch that makes the experience personal and playful.
