A typical morning starts with a coffee, a splash of water and a face wash. Need a gentle one? Keep reading to see if Rovectin Conditioning Cleanser won’t upset your skin first thing in the morning.
Nothing beats that feeling-fresh-and-clean sensation in the morning, but feeling hydrated will be ideal too. Rovectin Conditioning Cleanser is made for skin that feels dry too quickly.
Rovectin Conditioning Cleanser: product & packaging
One of the selected Korean skincare brands by the Wishtrend team is Rovectin, which comprises cruelty-free and hypoallergenic solutions for all skin types. Rovectin Conditioning Cleanser is a face cleanser specifically for dry and sensitive skin. It comes in a slim, 175ml-clear bottle with a pump dispenser. Crystal clear from the very first encounter. Let’s see what makes this gel face wash so simple.
Formula
The formula of Rovectin Conditioning Cleanser is hypoallergenic, free of silicons, artificial colourings and synthetic fragrances. The product has a low Ph (5.7) to be compatible with sensitive skin and minimise the risks of irritation. It contains coconut-derived surfactants like Sodium Cocoyl Alaninate and Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, known to be rather gentle to be foamy ingredients. This cleanser also contains Hyaluronic Acid to improve your hydration level after use.
Scent and texture
This daily face cleanser is a clear gel with a very gooey consistency. Although the description mentions “a light scent of coconut“, the typical watery, mouthwatering and sugary notes of this exotic fruit can’t be found in this cleanser, except for a vague aquatic and fresh note which isn’t reminiscent of coconut anyway, at least to me.
PROS:
- it’s hypoallergenic (gentle to sensitive), dry and combo skin;
- vegan-friendly and cruelty-free
- has no artificial colours or fragrances;
- doesn’t dry your skin;
- feels comfortable on the skin;
- can be used day and night.
CONS:
- it isn’t for deep cleansing;
- (don’t expect any coconut fragrance).
Valens vs Rovectin Conditioning Cleanser
As you can easily imagine and wish for, this face cleanser is as mild. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by its ability to foam without stripping too much hydration. In fact, it leaves a comforting conditioning film on the skin, making it good enough for both morning and night routines. The smell is fresh and refreshing, and somehow it doesn’t feel synthetically made nor actually natural, which may sound odd. It could disappoint those who were looking for a luscious coconut scent.
It should “wash away daily grime and residue without stripping or the skin” and this is true for my most sensitive and dry areas, less for my oily zones which need extra in-depth care. The good (and the bad) of combination skin is, indeed, in its ability to feel for which area a product is made for. In this case, Rovectin Conditioning Cleanser proved to be effective on dry zones which need a mild cleanser that actually does the job.
Rovectin Conditioning Cleanser is largely available online and costs $17 at Wishtrend.

Which Korean face cleanser is better for combination skin
Combo skin might enjoy better a mild exfoliating cleanser like byWishtrend Duo-Acid 2% Mild Gel Cleanser (review) or dear, Klairs Gentle Black Facial Cleanser if the oily areas are predominant. Oily skin could get rid of extra sebum and travel light with byWishtrend Green Tea Enzyme Powder Wash (review).
If you prefer your coffee to be stronger than your face wash, Rovectin solution will work for you well. Combo skin with less dry patches and more visible pores will surely need a slightly “powerful” wash but as a night cleanser followed by prep water this conditioning cleanser will work more than ok.
