If you think of tiredness, ginseng is likely to be your solution to get rid of it. Red ginseng could be the one to kick away dehydration and early sign from your delicate eye area too. Let’s see what I’M FROM Ginseng Eye Cream can do.
Your eyes tell a lot about you and they won’t lie if your life is upsidedown. I’M FROM Ginseng Eye Cream might help you to destress those (story)lines.
I’M FROM Ginseng Eye Cream: product and packaging
I’M FROM is one of those brands that show natural ingredients and responsible production as their star features. I’M FROM tells you from outside inside and vice versa what’s the star of its products. As you can guess, I’M FROM Ginseng Eye Cream is a skin treatment with (many) ginseng extracts. It comes in a 30gr perspex glass with a protective lid, with a colour palette and embossed design inspired by ginseng earthy tones.
Formula
The key ingredient of this cruelty-free eye cream is the extract of 6-year-old red ginseng FROM Geumsan, South Korea. It makes 3.65% of the formula, which is enriched with more ginseng and herbal extract. A look inside a pot suggests it’s a rather rich cream; jojoba oil, beeswax and shea butter confirm it. HA is there but it sits at the bottom of the list.
Red ginseng: properties
Ginseng is one of those natural ingredients in use for centuries in ayurvedic and oriental medicine that nobody will doubt its properties. Personal readings suggest more in-depth studies are needed on ginseng but some “traditional wisdom” is right, particularly for what concerns red ginseng. Red ginseng seems to be connected with better blood circulation, protection against UV-rays damage, hydration and a de-puff effect.
Texture and scent
Rich is a fitting adjective for this eye cream. A tick cream that reminds of an ointment for its texture, comfort on the skin and light unctuosity. It has a light creamy shade and many users found its scent way too overwhelming. There’s something wrong with it…
As I opened the jar I smelled absolutely nothing and nothing on my fingers after application. The formula you’ll find online at Wishtrend states that fragrance is at the end of the ingredient list but the outer package doesn’t mention it. Some discrepancies are also in the recommended usage which I found connected with this mysterious fragrance issue…
How to
This is an eye cream suitable for day and night. The website recommends it as a spot treatment and even for the whole face as a cream thanks to its firming properties. This must be a mistake but if you rub this cream onto your skin, you’ll smell a tasty… liquorice note with a very natural feel to it.
PROS:
- it’s suitable for all skin types,
- cruelty-free,
- its formula is free from artificial colourants and steroids,
- comfortable and relaxing on the skin,
- formulated to be deeply hydrating and firming,
- contains many plants and root extracts.
CONS:
- skin might absorb it too slowly or not well,
- skin hydration levels may vary considerably.
We just saw a little confusion on the net so we need some lights on this product. I would have personally spread this cream all over my face but I trusted the package. I did it right as I’m sure it would have been too greasy and rich for my combo skin in the end.
Note: the before is always on the left or above
I used it as a regular eye cream, day and night. I think it isn’t particularly refreshing but somehow refreshed my skin by relaxing the tissues. My eye area is quite dry and dryness makes fine lines more visible. What I expected and wished from this cream was supple and smoother skin.
You can find I’M FROM ginseng eye cream at $32 on Wishtrend with the rest of the ginseng line.

For the first month, this cream did a good job in keeping the eye area hydrated and elastic; I found it nice and pleasant to apply. But something went slightly wrong and my skin seemed to stop absorbing the cream or losing hydration too quickly, so I had to reapply it or use it less. On days after sleepless nights, applying makeup made my fine lines just worse: a reminder I’m not living healthy as I should. Yet, my lids and the brow bone area were and are more hydrated than before and firmer, and my skin – overall – looks quenched (see the natural shine).
This cream puzzled me or maybe it’s my skin having a hard time. It’s hard to explain but it’s true: my lids love this cream but my under eye area isn’t in love as before. There are days when it works like a charm all around my eyes and others when this doesn’t happen. It could also be a matter of amount and how to apply so I will investigate further and update this post
Very dry skin but still healthy and young-ish skin will love it, other types will decide on the day, apparently!
