The newest sunscreen created by Wishtrend in collaboration with the mega Korean chaebol AMOREPACIFIC is a quadruple sun filter with SPF 50+ that protects from UVA, UVB, blue lights and infrared radiations but it’s also a moisturising cream. It comes in a white and orange-red bottle with a pump dispenser containing 50 gr of cream ($28).
Formula
By Wishtrend UV Defense Moist Cream has an SPF50+ and PA++++; it offers broad-spectrum and full protection but also intense moisture and basic ageing care. Its formula has panthenol as its moisturising agent and adenosine – a building block of our RNA, used in cosmetics for its anti-ageing and anti-inflammatory functions – to minimise fine lines.
This chemical sunscreen contains also chamomile extracts and other natural ingredients found at the bottom of the ingredient list: licorice root (anti-inflammatory, tone brightening) and Scutellaria Baicalensis (antioxidant, tone evening and calming) root extracts, green tea and vitamin E (antioxidants).
UV Defense Moist Cream has been tested in three different labs with in-vivo tests to check its safety and efficiency. From lab results, the company is sure its new in-house sunscreen can provide the highest level of sun protection and improve skin hydration density by 1,048%, as we can read from its website.
Texture and scent
The name says it, you can expect a product with a creamy texture. By Wishtrend UV Defense Moist Cream has a balanced thickness and weight. Although you can feel it on your fingertips, it’s light on the skin and gets absorbed decently. It also gives you the chance for a nice massage. It has a light yellow tinge and the scent of a typical sunscreen.
How to use By Wishtrend UV Defense Moist Cream:
By Wishtrend suggests using it as the very last step of your morning skincare routine. This should be read as “your face cream”.

“A moisturizer-like texture formulated with 5,000ppm of panthenol provides a lush hydration enough to skip a moisturizer step before sunscreen, but without any residue.” With these promising facts and lab tests, I wasn’t concerned about the safety of this sunscreen but I was curious to test its double function.

As silly as it can be, working in front of a window facing West means that light will come to you anyway before sunset. By 1 pm, the light is already quite intense so I have developed some nice sunspots on the apples of my cheeks and uneven colouration at the end of Spring. This sunscreen does its job against sun rays, I must trust lab testing for the other types of rays that hit my face every day. Still, I feel reassured. You can’t feel blue lights so this is better than nothing.
That deep-feeling moisture is real in my case. I wore By Wishtrend UV Defense Moist Cream as a face cream and on the top of my day cream to keep up with my treatment. In both cases, my skin well received it and my driest areas didn’t peel or redden. This sunscreen cream doesn’t feel heavy or clogging, and it doesn’t make oily areas oiliest than they could be during the day. A different matter is when you’re going to put some full makeup on. Layering two hydrating face creams with different functions and degrees of hydration is way too much when planning a full face of makeup. My face couldn’t stand all this together; as a result, my foundation or BB cream starts to move and everything peels away miserably. However, wearing By Wishtrend UV Defense Moist Cream as your face cream and applying primer and foundation (or BB cream) works well.
My tests are long and I feel like a stupid Guinea pig but at least I know how to use it correctly in combination with other products and now I can recommend this sunscreen with makeup.
On a day-to-day basis, the application is easy, fast and comfortable, and its scent isn’t annoying at all. It’s really familiar and I bet it can feel the same for you. The pump dispenser is something I like on the go and I appreciate its hygienic function but it may cause some loss of product that can’t be reached. I can open a tube and scrap what’s left inside but I can’t do the same with this kind of bottle (the same as A-mazing Bakuchiol Night Cream in this review) without harming myself. I know I’m clumsy and I want to avoid an embarrassing trip to A&E (again).
Said that and knowing that I love smart products, I can’t but suggests you keep an eye on this, especially if you don’t like mineral sunscreen.
