Formula
This formula is vegan-friendly and without silicon, gluten, artificial colouring and scent, which makes it suitable for sensitive skin. The ingredient list sees as its #1 Centella Asiatica extract and, among other ingredients, ceramide, panthenol and plant-based squalane. byWishtrend created this “CeraBalance formula” after asking its community what they needed to see from the brand: something for skin prone to breakout and acne.

What is byWishtrend CeraBalance formula?

Texture and scent
By Wishtrend’s ampoule is a milky white treatment with a fluid viscosity. It might take its time to dry out but it doesn’t feel heavy or oily. It hardly have any scent but I could notice a fainting sweet touch.

How to use
Morning and evening, put 2 to 3 drops on your face before your face cream.

PROS:

  • it’s suitable for sensitive skin (no artificial colourings or fragrances),
  • good for all skin types,
  • easy to apply and light,
  • vegan and cruelty-free,
  • it effectively soothes the skin,
  • keeps skin hydrated,
  • prevents hormonal breakouts,
  • makes the skin stronger to changes (with constant use).

CON:

  • (subjective) it doesn’t improve skin tone.

932 Wishtrenders asked for a skin barrier-inforcing skincare treatment so By Wishtrend Cera-barrier Soothing Ampoule was created. Its aims are to soothe the skin and strengthen its hydrolipidic barrier. You should expect less dryness, less dullness and more resilient skin. My combo skin winking at hormonal ance seems to be a good candidate to test it.

I used this ampoule for over 2 and a half, and I’m sure everyone can add it to his/her routine. I could replace my HA plumping essences with this ampoule to simplify my routine. My skin still needs extra firming support – of course – but this product swap hasn’t been traumatic and my skin didn’t rebel. As expected: no redness, no dryness. Sebum production on the norm and hormonal acne under control. Those few pimples coming to the world were temporary, not connected to periods; hence easy to manage. The biggest challenge for me, travelling over Christmas and constant environmental changes, had no effects on my skin. A great success.

My skin seems stronger to hormonal and environmental changes, but less to stress-induced breakouts. Skin texture looks refined but I like the drastic and fast improvement of By Wishtrend Mandelic Acid 5% Skin Prep Water, which could be quite strong for sensitive skin looking for a soothing solution like By Wishtrend Cera-barrier Soothing Ampoule.
Up to you… are you sensitive like one of the 932 Wishtrenders of the making-of this product? Then it’s for you.
