Take a tea bag and learn how to fix a broken nail with it! It’s proven easy so you won’t cry over spilt milk or a split nail anymore.
If a cracked nail risks ruining your good mani, the tea bag technique is the cheapest way to fix that broken nail and have your natural manicure shiny and intact.
A broken nail isn’t a life-threatening issue and is as common as it sounds. It won’t be painful, assuming the crack occurred on the white of your nail; yet, it’s extremely annoying for those of you who love natural nails. Before cutting your damaged nail and filing all of the others to match the new length, reach for a tea bag and try to save it and your whole manicure. Follow this step-by-step video tutorial and with my advice, you’ll be sorted. But, first of all, here’s…
What You Need
- a tea bag
- nail prep wipes to avoid risks of infections
- nail file (glass files are my favourite and gentlest)
- nail buffer block
- alcohol spray to sanitise the bag
- nail scissors
- pointy tweezers
- nail glue with a brush tip for a precise application
- a crème nail polish of your choice (here I used Rimmel London 60 Second Super Shine in the shade #828 Danny Boy, Blue reviewed on the blog)
- a glossy top coat of your choice (I suggest essence extreme gel gloss top coat)
