Clinique x Emilia Clarke Happy™ Limited Edition: Collaboration and Fundraising

There couldn’t be a better vehicle than beauty to deliver a message of goodness, joy and hope. Clinique, known for its top-performing skincare and bright scents, and Global Ambassador Emilia Clarke joined forces to fund her charity SameYou in support of brain injuries and stroke survivors.

The tool for this charitable fundraising campaign is Clinique’s best-seller women’s eau de toilette: Happy™. Now available online in a new, limited-edition package to boost your happiness and infuse a positive message into your day.

Clinique Happy™ Limited Edition Fragrance: packaging & product

Happy™ Limited Edition Perfume Spray houses in its minimal and clear body a vernal eau de toilette for her. Available in 50ml and 100ml, Happy™ sleek bottle is a minimal canvas for Emila’s message – You Are Enough, a sort of mantra she repeats to herself every day – to shine through in an energetic shade of orange. The design doesn’t distract your senses so you can fully enjoy the pure essence of this fragrance and it’s a perfect pair with the meaning of Happy™ itself.

Clinique Happy™ Limited Edition: Fragrance ID, Review

Clinique Happy™ falls into the category of floral fragrances topped with the juicy hits of red grapefruit.

Top: vibrant citrus notes including ruby red grapefruit and bergamot.
Heart: exotic ingredients including morning dew orchid and boysenberry bush flower.
Base: tropical, sensual ingredients like Hawaiian wedding flower, white crinium lily, Chinese golden magnolia and Spring mimosa.

What I say about it: airy and Spring-like, Clinique Happy™ comes to your nose with a fresh and floral breeze and a fizzy sensation; the watery grapefruit notes arrive soon after by blending harmoniously with the floral bouquet. The blend ends softly with a velvety and powdery after-feel. The super fine mist dresses the skin evenly and delicately for a lasting fragrance.

Clinique says: “Like the emotion that inspired it, Clinique Happy is universal. Also like the emotion, every woman who experiences it makes it uniquely her own.”

Clinique My Happy. Peace & Jasmine: Fragrance ID, Review

The limited edition My Happy fragrance, like its regular version, is part of a very happy family of scents that can be worn alone or combined to create your personal scent. Of these, I had already Clinique My Happy. Peace & Jasmine, an earlier release from 2018 described by many as a citrus aromatic or aromatic green fragrance.

Top: green notes of yerba mate (mate tea).
Heart: a lighthearted floral bouquet of jasmine, lavender and freesia.
Base: an aromantic mixture of Sicilian lemon, pear and vera wood.

What I say about it: My Happy. Peace & Jasmine is undoubtedly an eau de toilette that speaks of early summertime with a distinctive citrusy character. The first hint my nose could feel is the lemon pinch, followed by jasmine notes to smooth out the zestiness of Sicilian lemon, which keeps its freshness but feels less “exhilarant” in this second phase. The fragrance ends with floral and citrus notes rejoining with a more floral personality and a good touch of green. The woody base note doesn’t seem predominant. The diffusion is rather abundant, so it should be sprayed from a distance for even distribution.

Clinique says: “Calm like teatime with your best friend. Indulge in a soothing pause in an otherwise crazy day. Mate tea, the heart of jasmine, lavender and sparkling Sicilian lemon.”

Sparkling is pure happiness to me.

Emilia Clarke’s SameYou Charity

Clinique’s global ambassador Emilia Clarke founded the SameYou charity for brain injury recovery survivors in 2019 after surviving two life-threatening brain haemorrhages and a stroke in her twenties.

Emilia Clarke x Clinique Happy

With her charity, Emilia aims to create the missing emotional and mental health recovery services essential for brain injury and stroke survivors. The SameYou website is an uplifting reading and opens a window to a lesser-known aspect of brain injuries: recovery. Recovering from a stroke or a brain haemorrhage isn’t impossible but is a tough journey with challenges for the patients and those around them. It can lead to a new, but “always you” self. The right support must be timely and plays a crucial role in the recovery. By combining medical expertise and emotional touch, survivors can get increasingly better and go back to the joy of their life.

“Using the deeply personal experience of its founder Emilia Clarke, pioneering charity SameYou is committed to challenging the stigma around brain injury and widening access to neurorehabilitation.”

Made with Spring and happy emotions in mind, Clinique Happy™ is a joyful fragrance and Emilia’s touch is a ray of hope in dark times.
