dear, Klairs Fundamental Ampule Mist – review
Don’t be fooled by the name, dear, Klairs Fundamental Ampule Mist ($22.95, regularly at $27.00) is a facial mist. This moisturising spritz for all skin types comes in a 125ml bottle with a spray nozzle. The amount will go a long way as you won’t need too much of it per application.
Formula
dear, Klairs Fundamental Ampule Mist is a green tea-based liquid treatment with natural extracts (cucumber, calming rice, okra, laminaria Japonica and hibiscus flower extracts), sodium hyaluronate and panthenol. In this formula, trehalose will have the important function of helping lock in the moisture you’ll receive.
Trehalose is a sugar used by plants and fungi as a source of energy and to survive freezing or lack of water. It has been studied and then synthesised for medical, food processing and cosmetic production to be used to rehydrate, hydrate and maintain hydration for longer.
Texture and scent
This is an unscented product without a particular texture or “weight”.
How to use Fundamental Ampule Mist:

After overcoming my fear of sprayable skincare, I picked dear, Klairs Fundamental Ampule Mist without hesitations. I’ve been using this for almost six months as part of a hydrating skincare routine which included dear, Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Serum and Rich Moist Soothing Cream (review coming shortly). I start the core of the review by restating that in this span of time I couldn’t notice one single dry patch on my skin… this is the result of this new regime overall.

This facial mist, branded “ampule mist”, is essential in its packaging and targeting in its formulation. Its primary aim is to hydrate any skin type but it should also deliver a nice dewy finish. The truth is when used between your skincare steps you won’t be able to tell if your skin looks glowy strictly thanks to this mist.
The spray isn’t particularly fine or cooling in hot climates so I would consider storing it in the fridge for an inebriating and relaxing feeling. From my point of view, this spray reassures me that my skin isn’t going to feel drier at any point during the day. As a matter of fact, I don’t need to reapply it on the top of my face cream, sunscreen or makeup as other K-beauty enthusiasts do.
I apply it after the same brand’s soothing serum to lock everything in and I notice how the serum seems to resurface lengthening my routine. It can be rather bothering but this way of use doesn’t leave any stickiness behind so I’m not bothered. I’m actually happy with how my skin feels.
Overall, dear, Klairs Fundamental Ampule Mist isn’t an essential product especially if your skin is oily or you go on vacation and need to pack light and under 100 ml. For everyone else, this is an extra that can help you during the hottest time of the year and mid-seasons.
