Book review: “OMG I lost my job! What do I do now?” by Carolyn Woods

At this unfavourable economic juncture, there’s nothing worse than losing a job. It may sound strange but there are manuals for this situation too, as the last book I’ve read, “OMG I lost my job! What do I do now?” by Carolyn Woods, shows. Author of guides for moms and families, Carolyn explains how to “survive” to an unexpected firing with handy advice and an agreeable, linear style. Short chapters guide the reader through Carolyn’s three steps to a new job: valuation, planning and implementation. Whether you are searching for a permanent job you like or a stopgap temporary work, this little manual will give you spaces for self-evaluation and activity…

    Fun products for Halloween… 2012

It’s that time of the year, again, and everybody looks extremely excited. It’s Halloween and a million pumpkins will be killed for the occasion, so please do something with that orange stuff! Sorry, I’m not that fun so let’s go back to other subject. Like a tradition, here is a bunch of colourful, spooky, mysterious beauty products I’ve selected for your Halloween and post party joy. Let’s get started with nail polishes! The O.P.I 2012 Halloween collection is called “So So Skullicious” and contains 4 mini nail laquers. Vegetarian/Vegan-friendly marinara sauce

I cook, that’s fine. They appreciate the recipe. In my sauce there aren’t olives so it’s perfect if you don’t like them! The secret of this sauce is adding all the spices little by little and taste it frequently to easily adjust the flavor. I used: – a can of peeled tomatoes, – 2 tps olive oil or corn oil, – half an onion, – 1 clove…

    Biscuits for nostalgics

What’s better than going home and be surrounded by the scent of freshly baked warm cookies, or relaxing and releasing stress by kneading? Here’s my solution: spicy gingerbread biscuits. Out of season? No, when I keep them simple and rustic without coloured icing and traditional Christmas shapes. It’s a recipe I truly love and I keep “reworking” to suit my tastes and the difficulty of finding the molasses which makes the dough more malleable. The ingredients for about 40 biscuits are:420 gr. 0 flour100 gr. sugar120 gr. soft butter160 ml. local honey1 large egg or 3 medium eggs3/4 teaspoon of baking soda1/4 teaspoon salt2 teaspoons ground ginger *1 teaspoon ground cinnamon *1/4…
