Avon Care – 3 in 1 cleansing lotion with aloe and ginger

Avon Care 3 in 1 cleansing lotion is my starter product in my daily skin care routine and it’s part of the Avon’s most convenient skin and body care line.
This product works, at the same time, as a face cleanser, toner and moisturizer; it’s enriched with aloe vera and ginger and is suitable to all skin types.
Avon describes it as a lathering gel lotion that “leaves skin feeling soft and refreshed with a satin-like after feel”. Let’s found it out!

I’ve found the Avon Care 3 in 1 cleansing lotion to be a pearlescent grey product with a watery consistency, in fact it runs away from my hands! It’s still easy to use, it has a light and pleasant scent but it doesn’t create a foam as written on the back of the bottle.
I started using it in the shower because the tube has a secure cap but I’ve changed the way I use it: I wash my face with plain water, I put (almost) dry my face with a towel, I apply the lotion and I massage till I see little lather and I rinse off.
The result is a very soft and supple skin that’s ready to receive my hydrating cream.
Yes, I wrote cream because, despite this is a multifunctional product, it can’t substitute a face cream. Its hydration isn’t long-lasting and it doesn’t provide with SPF.
I still think the Avon 3 in 1 cleansing lotion is a nice product, thanks to it I can forget my moisturizer toner which is uncomfortable to carry with me during a travel and I’ve discovered that it’s great to recover my skin after a bad breakout.

It’s gentler than a normal anti imperfection cleanser, such as the ones with salicylic acids, and it helped me in healing my skin from pimples without over irritating it.
Is it for all skin types? I’m “blessed” with combination skin so I can see how each part of my face reacts to my products.
In this case, my dry and sensitive zones enjoy the biggest benefits, my cheeks are smooth and elastic, while my chin and my T zone are well hydrated but not cleaned in depth.
Who is a longtime Avon client might remember the old 3 in 1 lotion: the action of this product is the same as well as the package, a slim bottle. However, the formulation has changed a bit with the addition of two natural nutrients and the deletion of an alcohol.
In my opinion, the current cleanser hasn’t that weird synthetic perfume the old version had and it has a gentler formula that doesn’t give me a tight sensation in case I skip my moisturizer.

Let’s recap!

PROS:
light scent,
gentle formula (for dry, sensitive and under break out skin),
no more dry patches or tight sensation,
it substitutes toners,
inexpensive,

solid cap.

CONS:
no SPF, it can’t replace a daily face cream,
no deep cleansing.

I’m at my third bottle and I really think I’ll buy it over and over again as the value for money is extremely good.
I recommend it to people with dry, sensitive or combination skin with a tendency to the dry side. People with combination/oily tendency skin might adopt it with the use of a purifying clay mask during the week (the Clear Skin pore penetrating black mineral mask is a smart choice), while I don’t recommend it to people with extremely oily skin.
The Avon 3 in 1 cleansing lotion comes in a 200 ml bottle and costs 4,50£, while its price in euro varies depending on the country.

Psssh you can easily find it for 1 or 2 euros when it’s on offer!
