New review… new lip balm. You’ll find this post particularly refreshing because my new lip salve is Blistex Raspberry Lemonade Blast.

Blistex wants to say that “Raspberry Lemonade Blast moisturizes, protects and refreshes lips with a tantalizing fruit blend.” Blast of freshness, blast of flavour, really? Read on to know more!

Blistex Raspberry Lemonade Blast lip balm review

Who follows me on Facebook has already noticed how excited I was… today I’ve found this Blistex lip balm with an Italian weekly magazine and started using it immediately. It was love at first sight, sniff and kiss

Blistex Raspberry Lemonade Blast: product and packaging

Blistex Raspberry Lemonade Blast is a clear lip balm in a tiny, very small stick.

Scent
Its scent is a combination of raspberry and lemon notes, a fruity mix but rather restrictive with a description like that!
It reminds of gelées, colourful Italian jelly candies – juicy, sweet and full of fruity flavours! Indeed, this lip balm has that typical fruity and sugary taste but with a particular frizzy, slightly acid taste of lemon. Nevertheless, it’s refreshing and pleasant: the lemon scent is predominant.

Formula and texture
This Blistex lip balm is enriched with anti-oxidant and hydrating ingredients, vitamins C and E, as well as SPF15 to protect lips from UV rays and avoid possible sunburns. I’ve noticed that it easily glides onto my lips, lasts for hours and it seems working well.

Its texture isn’t sticky nor greasy, it doesn’t feel super light but not heavy. To be honest, I’ve used better hydrating lip balms in the past but reapplying this Raspberry Lemonade lip salve is a joy!
Blistex Raspberry Lemonade Blast fruity lip balm

I think this fruity Blistex lip balm is a more than decent daily product because it protects from sun rays, it’s comfortable to apply and ‘wear’ and it’s pocket-friendly. This lip balm has been approved by ‘the beauty-archaeologist’ because it’s moisturizing and has a very addicting scent, plus it looks natural because it won’t tinge your lips.

PROS:

  • it’s hydrating,
  • pocket-friendly
  • cheap,
  • it has a non-sticky formula,
  • it contains SPF15,
  • pleasant scent.
CON:
  • none
