Touch In SOL One Second Vivid Lip Crayons: product & packaging

Touch In SOL One Second Vivid Lip Crayons come in black sleek pencils featuring a “cushion” tip at the end, and each contains 1.8 gr of product. They need no sharpener thanks to the twistable end, where the swirled design is, which allows you to pull out more product as you need. The cushion tip is a real surprise: uncap the coloured end to find a very soft cushion tip.  The tip makes blending and mixing these ‘lip crayons‘ easily.

Formula and texture

Touch In SOL One Second Vivid Lip Crayon contains candelilla wax and a mix of natural ingredients such as macadamia seed and rosa canina seed extracts, avocado oil and Kyounin Yu(prunus seed fixed oil), which make these lip colours moisturising and creamy. The texture is overall soft so, these lip colours glide nicely and smoothly onto the lips; the scent is hard to describe but it’s light and disappears quickly.

Shades and finish

Touch In SOL One Second Vivid Lip Crayons are available in 6 colours. The colour selection might sound short, but it’s bright and fun with two totally-crazy shades (a bird yellow and a marine blue). The finish is halfway glossy and tends to become satiny within a couple of hours. Pigmentation is good and colours are buildable but the result varies on the chosen shade.

Touch In SOL One Second Vivid Lip Crayon in #4 Tulip Pink is a peachy pink with a touch of orange which warms it up. Brighter than a bittersweet orange, it reminds me of Touch In SOL Technicolor Lip & Cheeks Tint in #4 Mystic Coral but it’s warmer and more long-lasting.

Touch In SOL One Second Vivid Lip Crayon in #3 Barbie Pink is a dusty lilac or pale pink with a grey undertone. Technically, it’s paler and colder than a super pink. It’s a cold shade and, despite it having the same creamy, hydrating finish and texture as #4 Tulip Pink, it’s an unforgiving colour: it emphasises every and each invisible lip line and skin flake. Even if you’re sure your lips have been well scrubbed and hydrated, chances are your lips will look drier with Barbie Pink.

Last note: Barbie Pink is less pigmented than Tulip Pink and it has a shorter lasting power. #4 Tulip Pink lasts for 4 hours and leaves a lovely satin stain, while #3 Barbie Pink fades quickly, after one hour, especially on the centre of the lips.

My is #4 Tulip Pink but I’ve found both lip crayons fun to use, indeed I like mixing these two shades together for natural pink lips and when I’m in a good mood… I embrace the Asian two-toned lip trend. Two lips, two colours aren’t wrong!
Hit or miss? In my opinion, Touch In SOL One Second Vivid Lip Crayons are very interesting as a lip colour, despite the results aren’t even. Despite Barbie Pink weak payoff, I can still make use of it, so it isn’t a total miss. The smooth consistency and the functional packaging are the two qualities I like the most; these key points make Touch In SOL One Second Vivid Lip Crayon a smart product for touch-ups and quick looks, something that comes in handy while travelling. I recommend #4 Tulip Pink for the fool-proof shade and lasting power. Let’s recap…

Touch In SOLOne Second Vivid Lip Crayons are available online but they are running low.

For the European customers, Glamourflare was selling them and was extremely fast and convenient for me with its shipping process (7 days to Italy). So what do you think about drawing your lips with bright lip crayons?
