Cosmesis Skin Care Vitamin D lotion – review

As I write, I have my water bottle with me, and I’m drinking (water) like a camel. I’m thirsty, so my skin is, but it’s still flaky and quite dull. It seems it needs an extra shot. Here is: Cosmesis Skin Care Vitamin D lotion

Cosmesis Skin Care Vitamin D lotion for very dry and mature skin - review

I found this little gem in a massive online chemist, DrVitaminSolutions, where I found interesting scientific information and footnotes regarding each product. These notes introduced me to further research to understand if my vitamin D deficiency was connected to my stressed skin.

This Cosmesis Skin Care body lotion is part of a skincare line created by dermatologist Dr Gary Goldfaden, so I felt in safe hands…

Cosmesis Skin Care Vitamin D lotion: product & packaging

Cosmesis Skin Care Vitamin D lotion is a pharmacy-grade all-over body treatment for every dry and mature skin. This lotion comes in a 113 gr. slim bottle with press-to-open cap. The packaging looks very sleek, and the dispenser is very sturdy and needs quite some pressure to unlock.

Formula
The package may look average, but the formula of this body lotion looks, sounds and feels high quality. What puts this treatment a step higher (also in price) than commercial body moisturisers is the Vitamin D-based formula. Cosmesis Skin Care Vitamin D lotion contains a form of vitamin D – called cholecalciferol or Vitamin D3 which is absorbed faster by the outer skin layer. There are also hyaluronic acid, glycerine, chamomile extract and a concentrated mix of teas (green, black, red and white). White! Tea, particularly green tea, is appreciated for its antioxidants.

Vitamin D3 hydrates dry skin and gives relief from itchiness and rough patches; while hyaluronic acid – another skincare staple – attracts and keeps water molecules. Vitamin D is called the ‘sunshine vitamin’ because sun rays help to metabolise this vitamin which is essential in calcium fixation. Scientific studies, reported in a reading of mine, revealed that topical application of Vit D can help to soothe and hydrate skin with long-lasting conditions. [1] Here I am with this lotion…

Cosmesis Skin Care Vitamin D lotion - texture and review

Texture & scent
Cosmesis Skin Care Vitamin D lotion is a white tick cream that spreads with ease and dries pleasantly fast. The first olfactory note seems fresh and zesty like an extremely subtle orange breeze. This scent quickly evolves into something else: a very light and neutral fragrance with (maybe) grainy or grass notes. The smell fades naturally until it’s a whole with your ‘skin scent’.

Cosmesis Skin Care Vitamin D lotion for dry and mature skin. Does it work?

How to use:
The suggested usage is twice a day with a nice rub.

 PROS:

  • it has a lightweight texture,
  • it hydrates fast,
  • dries quickly,
  • smooths skin texture,
  •  gives a natural glow,
  • needs a little portion.

CONS:

  • it could result expensive,
  • hard to find,
  • plumping effect lasts shorter than hydration,
  • may look small.

A very natural radiance…

Cosmesis Skin Care can be found online at DrVitaminSolutions where this Vitamin D lotion is available at 27$ instead of the regular price of 36$.

This lotion hydrates instantly and transforms dehydrated and flaky skin visibly resulting in smoother texture and natural radiance. During the first 30 minutes and almost up to one hour, I notice my skin appearance, particularly on my arms, is firmer and not just hydrated. This sensation vanishes faster than the hydration I received.

Although I had the sensation the pack is rather small, I just need a couple of peas to treat the driest areas of my skin. Applying a small amount after the shower makes the application easier… Not bad at all, I just wished the bottle was bigger for the price; it means I will use it as a targeting weapon against dry patches.

      Hi Samantha and welcome!
Let me know if you try this lotion, please! As I said, the bottle looks small but after the shower, on clean fresh skin, I was able to cover my most critical areas with a tiny bit of this product. If you can’t find it on Amazon, you can have a look at the website.

Thank you a million, and have a great weekend
      xoxo
