Elegant Touch x House of Holland Platinum Punk false nails kit – review

I’ve developed an unusual custom: I wear false nails every time an important event or a trip is approaching. Last time I put my feet far enough from home, I had these Elegant Touch x House of Holland Platinum Punk false nails on, my first killer stilettos

I just saw this design and I thought I was time to dare. It feels like dressing up your nail and, indeed…

House of Holland (nailed by Elegant Touch) Platinum Punk false nails:product & packaging

This kit is a collaboration between fashion brand House of Holland and nails expert Elegant Touch.

House of Holland Platin Punk is a complete set with a nail file, a prep wipe, a glue tube and 24 false nails in 12 sizes. Everything in a grunge square box from which these killer claws peep through.

Shade & finish
House of Holland Platinum Punk design is what convinced me. Platinum Punk combines two nail art elements that are hard to get at home with regular nail polishes: a 100% opaque white hue and a long-lasting matte effect. White nails were a trend years ago and still a pain right there…
These stiletto nails have a very pointy tip and a natural curvature which adapts surprisingly well to my flat nail bed. Platinum Punk nails are matte white stilettos with holographic details in three different designs: minimal stripes, moon and French mani styles. The linear holo effect is very fine, impalpable; these nails have a satin-alike and sturdy feeling to the touch.

How to use:
The correct applications consist of the usual steps for any glue-on false nails. If you have a good quality kit – like this – you’ve been covered with everything you need.

  1. Select the right size and put your choices neatly aside, so they’re ready to be picked. The number is on the inside of each nail tip.
  2. File your nails in the shape you want – the shorter, the better – and lightly buff the nail surface to remove oils and any old nail care product. This step will leave a good base for the glue.
  3. Prep your nails with the wipe. This will remove any powder or oil residue.
  4. Apply the glue.
  5. Apply each nail starting from the smile line, then put it down and press a couple of seconds.

 Ready to leave your mark.

  • it has a great quality-price ratio;
  • high-quality material (artificial nails);

As a false nails connoisseur, I warn you that choosing the right size is probably the annoying part of the process. In this House of Holland kit, hopefully, the identifying numbers are easy to spot and read. Another pecky fact is false nails adherence: I could not believe how stilettos well adapt – and even better – than oval and squoval shapes. On this matter, I will keep my time to judge other styles and brands.
I find them on offer at £4 in-store, but the regular price is just a couple pounds more, which absolutely not bad for what you get. On the contrary side, the matte white base is not scratch-proof and can get some minimal grey marks. Overall, the colour and matte effect are very resistant to chemicals and housework.

    These are really beautiful! We are in lockdown in South Africa and we can only buy food. We are not allowed to buy things like these. 🙁 soooo sad. I hope the lockdown will be over soon. Would love to try this. Very cool! Great post. Thank you.

      Hello, Carolyn, and welcome!
      I’m really sad about these further restrictions in your country; I admit that I wasn’t aware of any buying limits elsewhere. On the contrary, in the UK I see and receive loads of ad and newsletters – maybe too much – to encourage customers to buy other products that are clearly beyond the essentials.
      Hopefully, this can change little by little and you’ll be able to find these or other beauties. I highly recommend this brand.

      Stay safe!
      xoxo
