I ended up in a repetitive makeup ritual again: this time with an everyday lippie. It isn’t a nude shade, so I forgive myself for my cosmetic choice of the last months: Laritzy Lip Stix in Plum.
Falling into this plum path was too easy: this Laritzy lip crayon isn’t just handy to pop in my bag and use before and at work…
Laritzy Lip Stix: product & packaging
Laritzy Lip Stix is a crayon for your lips. It’s a hydrating lipstick made pencil with its sleek black case and coloured-matching end. 3.6 gr of product in super-light plastic packaging which is shockproof and sharpenable.
Formula & Texture
The formula made for this Laritzy lip colour is cruelty-free and vegan-friendly; it’s also gentle to the skin because it has no harsh chemicals like phthalates, BHT and BHA, not even parabens. The glossy-looking tip will just ask you to swatch it somewhere. It looks creamy, and it’s so; it glides pleasantly and is seemingly lightweight onto your lips releasing a full-bodied colour…
Shade and finish
If the tip of the crayon looks glossy, the texture is not. Ha, it fooled you! When applied, Laritzy Lip Stix shows a natural sheen – a brilliance I see in all my pictures – but once settled, the actual finish will be satin and luminous. It should have buildable coverage, but I find it has a great colour payoff from the first swipe. This finish will turn more natural until it becomes a healthy stain. The colour lasts really long I forget I’m wearing a lip colour; more than 4 hours while drinking and without any retouch. Laritzy Lip Stix in Plum is… plum, a medium shade of plum with neutral to warm undertones as the light strikes it. On my lips, Plum tends to the mulberry, on my swatches to a light Tyrian purple.
PROS
- it’s lightweight,
- long-lasting,
- creamy texture,
- natural look,
- luminous finish,
- it has a delicate formula,
- a great coverage,
- a handy package.
CONS
- hard to find online,
- mildly expensive,
- need a sharpener.
I’m a fan of lip crayons and handy lip colours but here the two main cons of this lip crayon are basically connected with the product distribution. In fact, I bought this lip crayon as a part of my monthly Birchbox and I was looking for some more colours. This Laritzy Lip Stix line is hard to find online; it’s not available on the Laritzy website but on the Birchbox e-shop for £20, a price that makes this lip colour somehow expensive. The plastic packaging is practical for on-the-go use and touch-ups but, it isn’t an automatic pencil. You must have a jumbo sharpener for it. I would forget this note, but in my opinion, the price is still high.
My work makeup look – for lack of time and sometimes creativity – needs a pop of colour and this is what Laritzy Lip Stix gives me. In one swipe this crayon: brings light and life to my face; gives me a nice hydration shot which makes my lips look fuller, and a colour that stays in place for hours and hours until it looks like MLBB (my lips but better)…
If there could be more colours and a better price, I would have a collection of ‘stixes’, if only! This explains why I’ve been using it for so long even though I’m not that late at work. 😉

I love lip crayons because they’re so easy to use. I also am not good at applying lip liner haha. I need something quick and efficient! I’ll have to check these out.
ps. That color is perfect on you!
