Elegant Touch Moon Swoon false nails kit (Mystic Wonder collection) – review

Great tradition must be kept alive, so my ‘travelling false nails’ custom does. Indeed, the second time I visited Rome, my full manicure was Elegant Touch Moon Swoon for a touch of magic under the moonlight.

Elegant Touch Moon Swoon glue-on false nails kit - review

Elegant Touch Mystic Wonder false nails collection sees dark and cryptic colours. These shadowy hues can be particularly appreciated in this ET Moon Swoon kit.

Elegant Touch Moon Swoon kit: product and packaging

Elegant Touch Moon Swoon is a glue-on false nails kit, and it’s part of a mystery-themed collection named Mystic Wonder. The package includes instruction and the essential for a good manicure on the go: a mini nail file, a mini tube of nail glue (2 grams), and 24 oval-shaped false nails in 10 different sizes.

Finish and shade
The Elegant Touch Moon Swoon design is rather simple, and its simplicity with a sparkle winks at you. What’s in the box creates a sleek accent nail on either your index or ring finger. The shade is a cool grey, a medium grey hue with bluish, mauve undertones. The subtle and elegant shade matches very well with the natural nail shape, as well as the sophisticated 3D design. A row of clear rhinestones runs longitudinally on the accent nails; it adds a touch of luxury to an otherwise ladylike style.

Flash on, shiny like gel!

How to use:
The process for this Elegant Touch manicure is the same for any regular glue-on false nails kit. File and prep your nails; find your size and pick your (fake) nails; glue on and fit; press and wait. The package has all you need for this nail art and guides you through the trickiest part: finding the right size. It’s easy thanks to the numbered nail slots and tiny numbers printed on the top inner rim of each false nail. So that – once you’ve done with one hand – you know which size you may need for the other one.

PROS:

  • The kit is easy to use;
  • has a good selection of sizes;
  • has a convenient quality-price ratio;
  • there is enough glue for application and touch-ups;
  • the nails shape is perfect for newbies;
  • adapts well to the natural nails’ curvature;
  • the nails are made of light and good-quality material;
  • the nail shade is intense and shiny;
  • the style is elegant.

CONS:

  • this kit might be hard to find in stores;
  • oval nails tend to pop easier after accidental impacts (compared to stilettos).

Looking back, I don’t know why I bought this Elegant Touch kit. In fact, its style is rather simple for my taste! The price was really tempting also because I said ‘goodbye’ to my manicure collection comprising of rhinestones, glitters, foils and pearls. £5.95 for a complete manicure kit is a gift, so I opened my wallet with joy.

Elegant Touch Moon Swoon Mystic Wonder review by Valentina Chirico

Lately, I discovered my love for daring styles and I also experienced how longlasting stilettos are. It looks like these can stay longer on my nails, while ovals and squovals can easily pop away.

So it happens: I was visiting the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and the Martyrs – which occupies the frigidarium of the Diocletian Baths, nearby Roma Termini station – when I lost one fingernail. This minor accident drew me somehow insane.

Ara Coeli - Campidoglio, Rome

Something is mesmerising in this kit by Elegant Touch. It’s not the shiny acrylic crystals but that unusual shade, between grey and blue like the night fading into dawn. Moon Swoon is such a mystical manicure…
