Dancing and Life: a stronger you with ‘dancing through crisis’. I joined Saje Flow’s challenge…

The first month of the new year feels like the perfect time for a massive change; it’s for revelations and aspirations. It sounds the right time for Dancing and Life and its 30-day challenge created by Saje Flow and infused with motivation, introspection and education to dance…

Saje Flow's Dancing and Life coaching program and Dancing Through Crisis 30-day challenge

For many, the very start of the year is dedicated to house and mind decluttering, good resolutions and new plans.

Safe Flow’s ‘Dancing and Life’ program encourages you to embrace life and build a better, stronger you. You’ll be surprised by an unexpected tool, dance!

Dancing, physical activity and mental heath

You don’t need to be a good dancer to join in! ‘Dance and Life’ has been developed by Safe Flow for everyone. What’s exactly about and who’s Saje Flow? Here, explained with an introduction to the program followed by weekly updates based on my experiences.

Dancing and Life: the program

Dancing and Life is a coaching class made of 10 short and inspiring videos for a total of 3 and 1/2 hours. The format allows you to take as much as you want at your own pace by reflecting on life and yourself with daily actions and exercises. Creator, motivator and host, Saje Flow uses dance to convey his message. Dance as the most natural tool of self-expression since primordial times, all over the globe and in any level of the society.

Dancing, motivation and wellbeing

Through movements, dance and breathing techniques, Saje Flows shows how to discover your inner ‘self’ like the ‘doer’ and the true leader. His quick exercises can be pop and performed at any time of the day, alone or with a partner.

The ‘Dancing Through Crisis’ 30-day and 7-day challenges
If you’re following my channels, you spotted many activities going on! Along with the Dancing and Life program, there’s a Dancing Through Crisis 30-day challenge. Starting from 11th January and for a month, each day has a reflection key, a daily ‘feel good’ activity and a motivational quote.

The 30-day challenge and ‘Dancing and Life’ program have the hashtag-motto #dancingthoughcrisis, like the crisis we just experienced in 2020. The challenge unrolls on the socials and is made to recharge and inspire, as well as offering some notes to reflect.

Reflection is the main key at the core of the Dancing Through Crisis 7-day challenge. This online course is totally free and comprises of seven videos. Saje Flow tackles with his touch and energy daily concerns; opens your mind on your approach to life, people, failures, success and crisis.

Saje Flow: who’s the man behind ‘Dancing and Life’?
Saje Flow is a life coach, speaker, movement and dance instructor based from California. He doesn’t just use his body but also his own life experiences to teach and inspire his loyal audience. Between his past as a real estate businessman to his present-day as a coach and host, a financial crisis marked his personal evolution. The strength and resourcefulness of an entrepreneur stay beneath this modern guru.

You can see the daily activities as I try them myself. Curious? I was curious exactly like you and I’m enjoying the challenges since the official launch of ‘Dancing and Life’. I’ve been invited to the New Year New You starting live stream for an interview and – believe me – I was dancing at 4 am and I couldn’t stop. You’ll feel Saje Flow’s energy!

Dancing Through Crisis fell good activity - gratitude
Day #1 activity: the ‘gratitude wheel’.
What makes you happy? Write 4 of them on a wheel and spin it. Focus on the result.

This online program isn’t a mere trend; it feels both fun, energising and revealing. If you watch the first two videos from the 7-day challenge, you’ll see how nothing is as dark as it seems. Focus, visualise and reach your goal… this just a glimpse of what I absorbed so far and you can

With a disastrous 2020, everyone wishes for a fresh start but at what price? You can have something priceless for free; then it’s all up to you and the new you!

1st update – DAY #7 (17 January)
It was 5 AM when I finally went to sleep after the YouTube live stream. If I could only call it sleep! I woke up with little rest, yet full of energy if it makes any sense. I started my 30-day ‘dancing through crisis’ challenge with the adrenaline Saje Flow passed me the night before. As I prepared my media content, I started watching the first videos from the 7-day challenge and the premium class. It was a nice break to reflect…

Learning from the past, self-growth activity with Saje Flow
Day 6 daily activity: write down what you want to get rid of 2020 and tear them apart. Mine: anger, insecurity, lack of meaning, need to justify

I feel sometimes we think too much – at least I do – and we end up showered by the gloom of the past rather than focus on what’s good in our today. The gratitude wheel was exactly about that!
The past still hurts, I can’t help and I recall whom and what made me feel miserable and out of place. This is what I learnt so far about the past, present, future and my capabilities:

  1. pain makes me stronger as I can overcome and handle better similar experiences;
  2. from that past, I can save something to make me stronger;
  3. cutting the threads to everything negative, painful and useless will set me free to grow;
  4. I draw my future as I want with positivity and determination.

2nd update: DAY #11 (20 January)
This challenge is keeping me busy on my socials, and that’s a great distraction from mental noises. My energy levels were quite high when the ‘bluest Monday’ of the year struck me on 18th: I never believed it could but a series of bad news showered me out of the… blue. After bothering my sister once again at the phone, I decided to go out to refresh my mind from these negative thoughts and have some fresh air. It always works with me, so I did a walk around a modern neo-gothic church by my block. The day after Saje Flow launched an invitation to move to reset. He’s absolutely right!

Walking in the nature to recharge your mind.
Everyone loves the snow…

3rd update: DAY #15 (24th January)
This week, I’ve been learning to worry less and enjoy daily pleasures; for example, reading and playing with makeup for me. I should also not worry about these little activities and erase self-pity from my dictionary, if nor my hobbies or myself hurt others.
I embraced the idea to take my time to heal from disillusions and be ready to listen to others’ pain once I’m stronger, which is the aim of the challenge. I charged my closest ones, especially my sis, with my thoughts. Also for the, I must stop worrying also; I must stop overloading them with my futile stress so as not to hurt their feeling or shock their boats.

4th update: DAY #19 (29th January)
what a recharge! This ‘#dancingthrougcrisis’ challenge isn’t just about physical and emotional energy. It’s about inner strength as well.
I looked back and I saw I made so much and I went so far, but the last year knocked me out; I felt I have no chance to proceed any further. I’ve been sending hundreds of applications and received so many no’s over the last six months.

I forgot what I have done so far and especially how. Saje Flow reminded me that big achievements can look impossible but can be reached by made them easy: many little steps. This is such a smart tip!
I forgot how I made it to the UK and my MA… I forgot big results require time but they’re far from being impossible!

5th update: DAY #22 (1st February)
I feel everything flows around me and I’m part of it. A small rock in my stream, I’ll shun it and flow down away. Anything small and uncomfortable should be like these rocks and I will be steady and imperturbable. I wish everyone can see it.
The end of January was about personal goals and two essential things to realise them: planning and resting. Saje Flow suggested some ‘me time to recharge our batteries for a focused mind and more energies.
Of course, this weekend I had a mud mask soon to appear on this page…

6th update: DAY #23 (2nd February)
Saje Flow just reminded us how resting and planning are equally essential to reach our goals, but also celebrating our small victories is important. Today’s activity was about stepping out of our comfort zone, do something unusual and toast for it; today’s message was a reminder: remember to take your time to celebrate and enjoy the emotions of your last achievement. Do not jump forward to the next goal.

Remember to celebrate your victories.
Remember to celebrate your achievements

In 2016, the day after Valentine’s day, I got awarded my BA. those were tough times and I was close to resigning but I did it. I barely remember what I did the night of my graduation; I was too tired, happy but deadly tired, to celebrate. The day after I assisted my friends’ graduation and I’ve never felt so miserable before. My result seemed so small compared to theirs. Back home I felt a void, the urge to do something else, something new. I wasn’t mentally there and, delusions after delusion, I just get back on track in December 2016.
I should have celebrated my strength and commitment in February 2016 and had a proper rest. Maybe things would have taken another path…
As a new goal was met in 2019, I did celebrate properly and my family was with me to share my joy!

7th update: DAY #27 (7th February)
You can tell a course really helps when you can put in practice what you’ve been learning so far. Saje Flow taught us how to deal with problems that suddenly appear in front of us and seems way too big. What to do when the solution seems out of our reach? It may sound cheeky but taking the easy way isn’t that wrong. Here is an example.

At the end of the week, Instagram decided to give some troubles… it’s already hard to be noticed, what if your stories appear empty without reason? So much time has been wasted in trying to find the cause and a solution… then I remembered Saje Flow’s advice: dodge the problem!
I had some extra fan with an external app (InShot) and, finally, I was back online with my daily stories and light chats…

This journey continues on my socials (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram)…
