ARRAN Sense of Scotland brings you a citrusy Summer

Some scents recall home and happy times; others give you spirit and joy like citrusy notes announcing Summer has arrived and with it many bright days. ARRAN Sense of Scotlands citrus selection delivers the boost of energy of squeezed lemons and grapefruits.

Grapefruit, mood booster aromatherapy - ARRAN, Sense of Scotland

With a spritz or a cool shower, the experts at ARRAN Sense of Scotland have selected their best citrusy bath and home products to guarantee a mood boost and freshness during these hot Summer months.

The brand: ARRAN Sense of Scotland

Previously known as ARRAN Aromatics, ARRAN Sense of Scotland is a fragrance expert. The company takes its name from the Isle of Arran, its home. The proud Scottish family-run label started as a soap business and has been creating scented products for three decades. The HQ is the family’s home farm factory, an old farm belonging to the historic Brodick Castle.

ARRAN bath and home citrus selection

ARRAN’s vibrant selection uses grapefruit, lemon and lime, widely used in aromatherapy to enhance well-being and awake senses. ARRAN‘s Glenashdale fragrance is inspired by the energy of the waterfalls on the Southern hills on the Isle of Arran and combines lemons, grapefruit and vetiver to give an exotic touch to a Mediterranean blend. Available from this line are: Glenashdale Bath & Shower Gel (£16.00) with Vitamin E, aloe vera extract and shea butter, and Glenashdale Hand Care collection consisting of hand wash (£16.00 each) and matching hand lotion with the same nourishing ingredients plus a leafy green touch.

My scented thoughts

ARRAN Sense of Scotland‘s Glenashdale Hand Wash and Hand Lotion complement each other and remind me of refined handcare combos found in nice pubs and hotels. As I am used to over-washing hands, I find the Glenashdale hand wash particularly gentle and smooth. It has a ‘squeaky clean’ scent with a prevailing citrus profile; instead, the hand lotion has a more balanced fragrance where the leafy notes create a calming feeling. Glenashdal hand lotion – my favourite from the collection – maintains the hydration level up and a silky feel for hours. The duo has a sleek and elegant package that looks great on every sink or bathtub.

Just Grapefruit Room Spray is – as the name says – a simple wish stored in a thoughtful tin box. Here, the zesty note is predominant and the grapefruit feels authentic: it comes directly from the fruit’s peel oil. The character of Just Grapefruit is punchy but turns into a bright and uplifting scent. It will surely wipe away any dark cloud or sad thought from your day.
