dear, Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream: product & packaging
With 1 million units sold so far, this dear, Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream ($20.80, regularly at $26.00) has become a best seller. This face cream comes in an 80g tube and is made to moisturise, soothe and strengthen the skin barrier of all skin types.
Formula
To moisturise and protect the skin from dehydration, Rich Moist Soothing Cream has a rich consistency and formula. Here you’ll find jojoba oil, shea butter, arginine, ceramide and beta-glucan: its key ingredient. Beta-glucan, a humectant, soothing, strengthening, and antioxidant ingredient, seems to represent alone the function of this cream.
Among the other ingredients present here, there are centella asiatica, aloe vera and a salad of fruit and vegetable extracts, such as rice, turnip, tomato, broccoli, carrot, grapefruit and many more. With a quick scroll through the ingredient list, it looks like a recipe rather than a skincare product.
You might spot some dimethicone, that I suspect is used to lock in moisture as it does in other common personal care and styling products.
Texture and scent
Its rich formula (and name) is mirrored in its texture: a smooth balm, that’s thick but easily spreadable and featherlight. It has no scent, so it’s comfortable to use for the most sensitive of the noses.
How to use Soothing Cream:
Apply dear, Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream as your usual face cream, on your face and neck, after toner and the following steps (serum and/or ampoule). It can be used in both your AM and PM skincare routine; hence, an SPF must follow at all times.
BRAND’S TIP:
Korean skincare brand, dear, Klairs, suggests mixing its Rich Moist Soothing Cream with its blue soothing cream when the skin is particularly red.
TOP TIP:
Make the most of its spreadable texture and slow drying time to massage your face with a gua sha or a vibrating T-bar tool to ease draining.

dear, Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream is the last step in my all-year-round hydrating skincare regime and hasn’t disappointed me, not even once. From February onwards, I haven’t experienced a single dry patch which means the combination of Supple Facial Toner, Rich Moist Soothing Serum, Fundamental Ampule Mist and this cream works perfectly. No wonder these are from the same brands and some treatments from the same “Rich Moist Soothing” range.

What I like about this cream is its rich but light texture. In the coldest month, it might feel thicker to the touch but, as the temperature goes up, its balmy consistency melts between my fingers with ease to glide on my skin pleasantly.
It does its job without leaving greasiness or clogging my pores, which makes it perfect for those with combination skin and who are concerned about sebum overproduction or extra moisturising products. The after-feel is silky smooth and, combined with a massage, it’s even more pleasant and fresh looking.
Rich Moist Soothing Cream leaves my skin extremely smooth and the massage I follow stimulates blood circulation and water drainage resulting in a naturally glowy skin.
I haven’t experienced any rush either, so I might conclude this face cream calms my skin as well. From previous experience, I can state that its effect isn’t the same as Midnight Blue Calming Cream, which is more intensive and has a thinker consistency; hence, more suitable for sensitive and dry skin and targeted applications.
dear, Klairs made its Rich Moist Soothing Cream for sensitive skin but combination and oily skin will enjoy this cream a lot even in summer. You have what you need with a squeeze.
