Nioxin Recharging Complex for healthy hair growth with biotin – review and before&after

You changed your diet and lifestyle; still, your hair needs an extra push to grow stronger. Then you pinned your hopes on multi-vitamins and tablets. Hopefully, Nioxin has exactly what you are looking for: Recharging Complex hair supplement with biotin and zinc.

Hair supplement: Nioxin Recharging Complex with NuCilium-Plex Technology

Recharging Complex is the missing step in Nioxin trichologically approved hair care and hair growth extended range.

Nioxin Recharging Complex: product and packaging

Nioxin Recharging Complex is a food supplement with vitamins and minerals developed to boost hair and nail growth, promote more even skin, and aid blood cells, day after day. This health supplement comes in a box with a monthly supply, for 30 tablets in blisters. These creamy yellow tables have a rhomboid shape and are more than 1 cm in length.

Formula
Recharging Complex isn’t just biotin and zinc. This multi-complex (NuCilium-Plex Technology) comprises vitamins and minerals proved to be beneficial to hair, nails and skin, and which your body will integrate into your diet. These tablets are gluten and GMOs-free. Each pills contains: Vitamin A (800 μg), Vitamin B1 (1.3 mg), Vitamin B2 (1.4 mg), Niacin (15 mg), Pantothenic acid (15 mg), Vitamin B6 (2.0 mg), Folic acid (200 μg), Vitamin B12 (3 μg), Biotin (450 μg), Vitamin C (180 mg), Calcium (180 mg), Iron (4 mg), Copper (1 mg), Iodine (150 μg), Zinc (10 mg), Selenium (50 μg), Silicon (40 mg).

Dosage:
One tablet per day with plenty of water, during a meal. It’s recommended with Nioxin 3-Part System kit more appropriate to your hair condition and need. (There are 6 in total and are all available on Amazon)

PROS:

  • it’s multi-action (hair, nails, and skin);
  • makes hair and nails grow faster;
  • increases nails resistance;
  • contributes to reducing hair loss/hair falling (combined with 3-Part System kit);
  • no GMOs, gluten, sugary fillers.

CONS:

  • it has an odour;
  • (its size – some may find it hard to swallow).

My cupboard is full of (good) pills; I’m so used to supplements now! Since I moved country, I had to adapt to a new environment, rhythms and a totally different lifestyle. Nioxin Recharging Complex entered in my healthy section for one month. This is what I could notice compared to the expectation.

… and you wake up like this…

Taking supplements is a routine, and any size works for me. It’s just a matter of a quick sip of water, right? Nioxin healthy supplements are slightly bigger than your usual biotin and beauty pills, so I do understand if you feel discouraged. Instead of a sip, Nioxin Recharging Complex does really need a glass or half. If not the size, the odour was quite strong to me, but it doesn’t release an aftertaste. Hence this ‘smelly fact’ hasn’t impacted on the overall experience at all.

I saw and felt the first improvements at week #2, and they rocketed between week #2 and #3. As I went further into lockdown, my body decided to surrender with little, annoying signs. Hair falling off copiously while shampooing and brushing; nails flaking and chipping; a massive breakout across my face from my jawline and temples (which later turned out to be hormonal-related).
Let’s focus on my hair: apart from the many white hairs, my hair was generally duller and thinner. I paired Nioxin tablets and what I had left of the Nioxin 3-Part System kit #3 I tested earlier (shampoo and conditioner), and I notice a consistent boost between week #2 and #3 with very voluminous and light hair. (have you checked my IG, meanwhile?)

Before and after Nioxin Recharging Complex food supplement with biotin and zinc

The main problem with supplements is that you might expect visible signs straight away. It’s a matter of a couple of weeks with constancy as the key to some success or results. Funny enough, I could see how my body assimilated this biotin multi-complex by how fast my hair was growing. Hair growth didn’t interest just my ‘hair’ but any kind of facial and body hair. I could tell Nioxin Recharging Complex was doing its work by the daily efforts spent in plucking my eyebrows or waxing.

At the end of the experiment, hair loss was slightly reducing but, on the other hand, hair kept growing longer, vividly and thicker. My nails also grew faster and stronger; while my skin was still facing the hormonal rollercoaster and just slowly recovering.

Stronger nails, daring lacquer! (Nails are Rimmel London 60 Seconds SuperShine Black Cherries)

Nioxin Recharging Complex is available on Amazon ($39), professional retailers and associated hair salons. The price is relatively high for a health supplement, but it’s definitely not a drugstore multi-vitamin nor a super sweet hair gummy with free calories – not the other way round (I’m going to talk about gummies soon, btw).
If the smell was unpleasant, at least it wasn’t lasting. If the blisters were extremely sturdy to break and open; the benefits bet this annoyance on all fronts.
I’m desperate for a hair cut, do you need a curly wig?

    That’s so true, that people want to see the effects of supplements straight away! It took my around 6 months to see my effects when I started taking biotin.

    To be fair, I haven’t tried those supplements.

      Exactly, Patrycja! Even though every body and metabolism is different, it’s like it happens with skincare: results come with constancy. 😉
      Do you prefer over-the-counter or more specific biotin supplements (generally about supplements)?
